glad to see people agree with me on having area 51 in fallout new vegas
bethesda is starten to show PS some luvin
xbox will be nice but ps3 will ROCK
It seems they finally have an official release date: October 19 - North America October 23 - Europe For all 3 platforms by the way :D
@ Neogenic good guys as far as the moral "black and white" go, they're all about trying to rebuild civilization and in New Vegas they're at war with Caesar's legion who are essentially an army of slavers
Speaking of the first two Fallouts did anyone realize that the series is kind of moving in a pattern. If you break the games down into two categories: games before the fall of Interplay and after the fall of Interplay you will notice that the first title of the two categories has your character emerging from a vault while the second title has your character originating from outside the vault.
@Neogenic Well, NCR is basically a new government that was established originally by the owners of Shady Sands from Fallout 1. It's not really seen as "bad" and in Fallout 2 they are given the role of being more "good" than "bad" but on that same token the NCR wasn't above using some questionable tactics to enforce their power and recruit other territories into their jurisdiction. The simple answer would be that they are a political group with their own agenda so you can't really call them "good" or "bad". Like most political groups in Fallout it's kind of left up to the player to choose to support a group and if so then how to go about doing it, either through moral or immoral means.
I would also love a new Elder Scrolls.
bethesda sould alternate between elder scrolls and fallout games...two, three of the same series in a row doesnt give the technology or interest to grow
The Fallout franchise is just epic, no matter where its set!
This will be amazing just like 3.
the game is looking forward, but i only have the fallout 3 and they searched to the game to be more like fallout 1 & 2 , and the people that played these say that the 3 is too diferent so i dont want to get ideas about new vegas
Question. I have not been following the fall out series before fall out 3 (i regret to say). Is the New California Republic part of the bad side or the good side?
@BrokenRemains yep, on pc. Don't have Xbox unfortunately
@ZombieNoob oh you have it on the pc? i got it on ma xbawks
Obsidian? Should be interesting. Gonna wait for gameplay footage before I decide, but if they really have so many Fallout 1&2 veterans on their team, that alone is worth giving it a chance.
That sounds bad ass, but he kinda spoiled a lot of the surprise with the character creation process.
@TonnFool23: you dont have to use it if you dont want to. I only use it for some cool slow motion kill once in a while.
I hope they make the shooting abit like stalker like aiming down the gun and killing, i hate using that system all the time where you assign specific areas to be hit.
@Psycold he actualy nearly did xD nicely picked up :P
It looks like a good game. Doesn't stray far from F3 but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've had 60 hours of fun in Fallout 3 so far, so.
Gunna be awesome
loved the first cant wait for this :) i just hope they fix up certain aspects in the game. like aiming down ur gun. just using VATS is S*** sometimes so i hope they make it looking through the guns iron sights. and the graphics of characters and suroundings. if they changed it all it would be the 1# game of all time :)
He almost said fallout new gaygas
I love Fallout 3 (PC). I keep the damn thing in my laptop, regularly. I'm totally feeling Fallout New Vegas!
yes. im so glad obsidian is making this. i didn't really like bethsedas graphics style
Fallout...... another 250 hour game. These come far and between these days! BRING IT BETHESDA!!!! BRING ON THE GAME!!!
@jakemanp93 OMG That would be awesome!!!!!
I hope they have a lot of Sinatra tunes.
I loved Fallout 3. It's my all time favorite game. I hope this one lives up to the first game. Hopefully they'll improve the performance for PS3.
@ Dremun: it is possible to survive bullet wounds to the head.
I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!
@29-LinkFan this game uses the same game engines that fallout 3 did
Blue m00n fits fallout perfectly.Love that song. ..I hope that F4 will be PC exclusive :p
i hope that u can explore area 51 in this game since its taking place in vegas,
@brokenremains I thought about it, but my comp is occupied cause of my brother. And I have some more games to complete. But maybe over the summer.....

@ 29-LinkFan The game engine and combat system are equal to the ones in Fallout 3. It has suffered minor upgrades, like the fact that you can now choose body parts to aim with melee weapons in VATs and set the behavior of your companions, but for any purposes it's Fallout 3 all over again.
@zombienoob hey bud you have till Q4 this year to play some fallout 3 anyways so why not do it anyways? ;P
anyone know the gameplay mechanics of this? is it going to be like fallout 3 or will it be more along the lines of the original two? i won't say which is better, but having never played the original games i'd like to know if this is going to be familiar to me or entirely foreign
can't wait
Stand alone expansion pack. Uhh. That is great. Since I lost my Fallout 3 saves, it is cool that I don't have to complete the game again (it would be fun to do it all again, though). Can't wait for this
A proper game from a proper developer. I can't wait!
A stand alone game? My excitement has diminished... though I'm still looking forward to it.
Great game as Fallout 3!
Never heard so much said and not learnt anything.
i dont think they change the gameplay or make graphics a level uper, but yeah, a new campain in fallout... this is gonno be great for sure, many many new items and weapone, level ups, quest and it will be take many time frome gammers to end, vegas!...for sure it have many dlc too
Holy Pipboy! After the downloads and everything for this installment, I can kiss another year of my life goodbye! I can't possibly recommend a game more than Fallout 3, and this looks like an extention of it. I can't wait to see the new weapons, creatures, and mutants, and........etc.
I need some gameplay footage! :D
It makes sense that you can go at it like that. *SPOILER ALERT* Dont read this if you havent played Fallout 3. But anyway just like on Fallout 3 when you start out in the Vault and as you grow up you father eventually escapes the Vault. Your main quest is to track him down and to find out why he left. So basically this is going to be the reverse of that being that your found in a shallow grave left for dead, you have no clue who you are. So what is the natural storyline going to be you say? SIMPLE think Jason Bourne basically. You reverse the story by going back and finding out who you where and why did you end up in a shallow grave. You talk to people, look for clues, do side missions for people to charm them into helping you on your quest. And EVENTUALLY you will find out who you really are and then go after the people responsible for your demise.
