Nothing really new about Fallout New Vegas.
In Fallout New Vegas, you play as a courier who encounters a bit of Vegas Luck early on in the game. The Courier has an item stolen, and then is shot in the head. However The Courier survives, and the journey begins which involves finding out what was stolen, and who stole the item. What starts off as a simple mission of discovery becomes a complicated journey that involves multiple factions, and it is up to you to decide the future of New Vegas.
The main story line isn't too long, and not as interesting as Fallout 3. The people and quests were more interesting in Fallout 3 than New Vegas. There was a lot of mystery in searching for your father in Fallout 3, and there were definitely more memorable moments. For example the mission 'Tranquility Lane' was one of the more insane and creepy quests that really stuck with me. Also the Capital Wasteland was hit by the nuclear attack, so there was a sense of urgency to save the place.
Even though the main story of New Vegas isn't as impressive as Fallout 3, there is still a lot to do in the Mojave Desert. I ended up spending over 60 hours playing this game. This game is huge which means there is a lot of people to interact with, and places to explore. In this game you can also find companions to accompany you on your journey, which adds more life to the lonely world of New Vegas. The game play is still fun. Using VATS to kill your opponents is entertaining, and there are tons of ways to customize your character. There are also a wide range of ways to play this game. You can be brutal and talk with your guns, or you can solve problems with charm, science, etc. There is an immense amount of freedom given to the players in New Vegas.
While this game was fun to play, one of my biggest issues was the bugs and glitches in the game. Fallout New Vegas suffers from horrible frame rates, and towards the end of the game I encountered a lot of times when the game just flat out froze. Enemies would sometimes get stuck in their environment. Also completing quests were frustrating at times, because it was unclear where to go, and what to do.
I was really excited to play this game, and while there were definitely fun moments, Fallout New Vegas was still a little disappointing for me.
