It's a mildy entertaining Fallout game but don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as the other Fallout games.

Fallout Brotherhood of steel is a mildly fun hack n slash RPG,set in a post apocalyptic world.

If you've played Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance or Champions of Norrath, you can expect a similar style of gameplay experience with Fallout BoS.

The movements of your character during combat feel smooth but eventually the combat starts to feel repetitive. On a technical level, the combat isn't any more or any less repetitive than many other hack n slash games out there, but for some reason,I can feel the repetitiveness of Fallout BoS's combat more than with other hack n slash games.

The gameplay has fetch quests but they are dull too.I think the reason the combat and quests in Fallout BoS feel repetitive and dull quickly is because they lack a story attached to them(I never felt motivated by Fallout BoS's story to complete the quests).

However, you're given a good range of dialouge options for conversations you'll have with NPC's.You can be nice to people or you can easily anger them and it will make them swear at you and you can insult them with some very funny insults and use of swear words.

The game uses a Mad Max style setting and the Fallout name to appeal to people and the game's Mad Max style world has some entertaining moments such as being able to hire prostitutes and even though you can't watch the sex scenes, you can hear the sex acts between you and the prostitute. The people in the world will talk and act boarish and it's funny hearing the things people say, even if they are not saying those things to your characters but to somebody else.

Being an RPG,there's levelling up and you can choose how you want to level up certain stats.

The environments do a good job to represent a post-nuclear fallout world, because you'll travel to shanty towns and witness the horrible conditions the people live in,as well as seeing their strange societal structures(law enforcement methods and government)and you'll see people who are mutated from radiation and fight against enemies who are mutated people or mutated animals. The environments will have run down looking buildings and shelters made out of abandoned vehicles and you'll see junk everywhere such as scrap metal, bits of wood and abandoned vehicles and other sorts of junk everywhere. There is lots of desert environments too, probably to show you how much of the world's vegetation has died out.

The game doesn't allow you to freely explore a huge world map which the other Fallout games do.You have to wait for the story to advance before you can move to a new area and when you do,you cannot revisit a previous area.

The game has some good cinematic style right at the start of the game to show you the story of how the nuclear war happened and what people did in an attempt to survive it.The game uses older style music and it suits the atmosphere of the game.

Overall, the game is mildy entertaining but becomes dull quickly.
