First Fallout Playthrough and a beautiful experience

User Rating: 8 | Fallout 4 PC

All in all, the game was great, solid, big enough, detailed enough, with enough content to keep you busy for many many hours. The atmosphere was great, the 50s music added a special something to the overall immersiveness and to the sometimes silly aspects of the 'vault boy' era. I was also impressed by the AI (played on Hard difficulty), always seeking cover and flanking maneuvers during shoot-outs, but was left rather disappointing by the game's side quests (side quests especially were rather repetitive in the faction questlines) and the dialogues were oftentimes boring.

Graphics: 9 Beautiful Graphics

Atmosphere: 9 - Great atmosphere

Story: 7 (A good story with a sweet plot twist, but with rather limited choices, the factions being too much invested in the main story and leaving the player unable to get all the details on them when prompted to choose sides)

Sound: 8 Average game music and sound effects, but +1 for the Diamond City music.

Gameplay: 8 Fights were good, always keeping the player engaged.

Level Design: 5 Bad. Huge negative here would be the level design and map access: Quest Target altitude is disabled in power armor, and navigating with the map is very frustrating, since especially towards the end, areas tended to get more and more labyrinthic and I felt most frustrating during the whole game when trying to find quest targets.

Setting: 9 It is very immersive. Not serious enough on a real-life post-apocalyptic scale, but superb on the Fallout Universe level.
