Check out this trailer of the first wave of Fallout 3 DLC: Operation Anchorage!
If you have a ps3 and no xbox 360 or PC dont worry about this DLC it's nothing much. You run after some chinese guys in alaska threw a few grenades and that is pretty much it.Only special item that you find is that winterized armour wich doesnt wear off.
Oi. I really liked this DLC a lot, not for a story and not for a roleplay experience, but for a action packed simulation of the combat system. It did feel like a roleplay experience somewhat for me at least, since it felt like my character was going through a combat simulation (Duh) and learning a fair amount of combat tactics with it. I can see why people are disappointed with it since its a wee bit short and all, but hey, take it for what it is. When The Pitt arrives it will hopefully be more of a roleplay experience and not this straight forward, but Operation Anchorage is still a great DLC this early since release. Cheers, and have a good one with this action packed mission!
As far as I'm concerned FO3 can go **** itself, but defending Alaska from a Chinese invasion force? Schwweeeeeett
Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Why did I have to buy a PS3 (which I do enjoy having)? I loved Fallout 3 and would love to play the DLC. Do I have to buy a PC or Xbox now? My poor bank account is in no fit state to take such punishment. How many kidneys do I need?
Can any of you guys recommend me a good GFX card around the £150-£200 mark? I want full HD so I can hook it up to my 40inch 1080p TV.. I'm out of touch with what's good and value for money these days and there seems to be so many out there. Obviously I want it good for Gaming! ..and video playback! Anyone have any advice? :)
This game rocks.. Fallout 3 first person perspective is so much better than the previous Fallout and Fallout 2. However I felt the scripts were better in the previous versions the upcoming DLC re The Pitt sounds very similar to an adventure in Fallout 2 where you were playing several factions off against each other.. i kind of last man standing in the Fallout Universe.. all i can say it more DLC and MORE NOW..!! :-) great game guys..!
What do we, the consumer, find in our margin of profit? Code that is genetically inferior due to buggy-as-welp parentage? Fix the G'D game,Bethesda
Bethesda does have a game on steam its fallout 3 its been up there since release and how is this not a good effort??? Having DLC this early on is a sign that they want to help u get even more of a gaming experience out of the fallout 3.
I wont be going for the DLC. Thats a disappointing effort! I dont want to sign up for an account on windoze live. I want to buy the packaged product like I did with Oblivion! Dammit!!
Fallout 3 RPG the best! Fallout 3 RPG+DLC even better!! I'm giong to get this one for sure. P.s I hope Bethesda will finaly decide bring one of theyr great titles to steam :0
Let me understand this.... Fallout 3 is an RPG. So presumably roleplayer's bought it - and yet here we are with DLC that turns the game into a shooter? So roleplayer's are really shooter fans? Likeair-sim jockeys just wanted to become shooter fans, so we get no air-sims, and adventure gamers just wanted to become shooters, so adventure games have disappeared? So tell me Bethesda, as a roleplayer, why would I get this DLC again?!
Mmm I'm looking more forward to 'The Pitt' add-on. But first I wan to complete the game. I'm almost done, but after more than 40 hours I got a bit bored. Has nothing to do with the game, most I games I can't spend more than 20 hours with. Fall Out 3 for me is the best game of last year. Arguing that is saying you can't judge games fairly.
I think it's worth it, I love fallout 3 and this just adds more gear and weapons, which is always a plus.
This game is so boring after playing it for like 3 times. But it is really interesting for violent gamers.
Fallout spirit left with Interplay, idea of buying this makes me laugh, this isnt worth even downloading...
I am horrified at comments like, a 2 hour movie costs $15 so 3 hours is well worth $15. The whole games industry is getting lazy, why bother producing quality immersive games when people compare your game play time. The latest jame's bond game claimed that when you had finished it you would have spent 50 hours playing. 4 hours later done and half an hour after that sold. Fallout 3 is the same but Bethesda have some real cheek the oblivion expansions added 30+ hours of game play, now they offer one tenth that, but I guess you only need it to be 1/10th the size because the sheep will play it multiple times because rather than create a big expensive game you can just put on a level cap and get people to play over and over. Sure there was a big management bonus for that cost saving decision.
Whow bethesta again. Sorry all who beth. fan but they all ways do same cheap trick. Remember Oblivion 6Bucks for horse add-on etc. now this... Furthermore they gave all those promises about f3 to be but didnt make half of it. And now they want money for it ? "I say beth doesnt respect player half of blackisle/interplay" Respects.
I have to agree with most of the crowd here. $12.50 is what it cost, and that was about what it was worth. Very very simple...beat it under 3 hours...
And there u go... "Let's make one more SHOOTER game!! Oh, but there is so much shooters on the shelves already... No problem!! let's buy a famous game franchise, and use it's name for good and til the bitter end!! What about the best RPG game ever, Fallout??" For god sake, Interplay must be twitching under it's grave...
yeah I got it and it was only about three hours. The bonus equipment is fairly good, but nearly impossible to carry all of it. It is a fun three hours though..
wooo, I got so many problems with the PC version, crashes/hanging/got my ass stuck somewhere and now this won't even load into my game after I purchased DLC through GFWL. Sigh, FEAR 2 here I come baby. I'll forget about this crap game and get me a console.
another RPG becomes a shooter - what next? A puzzle game turned into a shooter? What about a top down wargame with hexes? Sure, let's make it a shooter! What genre is still around that is not being turned into a shooter?
heard a lot of good things about it but it supposedly only lasts 3 hours so i dont know whether to get it or not
I have to play Fallout 3 throught before this, but I'm already getting bored with it. I don't think i'll buy this.
KH2Freak2014. All you need to do is get a long internet cord to reach wherever the internet is in your house. Sign up for a silver membership which is free. And you can do everything exept play online. My dad got a internet cord so long it can reach from one end of our double wide to the next. Oh and love the username I have beaten KH2 4 times.
KH2Freak2014. Its really simple all you need to do is get your 360 hooked up to the internet. Then get a silver membership which is free. Gold is the one that costs money. With silver you can pretty much do everything but play online. My dad got a long internet cord so I could hook it up when I wanted to download somthing. Of course I had to roll it back up because somebody was in danger of tripping.
yeh same here.. took me about 3 hrs to finish coz i thinks its only got about 3 or 4 objectives only... its basically another quest... Altho i did enjoy it but it was fairly simple and straight forward... Im just waiting for the DLC that gives u more lvls....
I beat this DLC on PC in about 3 hours. I thought it was pretty good, but too arcadish, as you can just refill health and ammo at dispensers. It makes it really easy. The greatest part is the stuff you get in the armory. I give it an 7.5
10 bucks online sounds pretty good for a 4 hour adventure. After all, a 2 hour movie nowadays is at least $15.. and you can't control any of it. This is on my list :)
