Fallout 1 and 2, were great games, games that mainly changed RPG's in different ways. Fallout 3, expands that and adds further fun to the genre. Aside from taking a while of what to do at the beginning, the game itself is awesome. You try to survive in a torn, damaged world that has been affected from a recent nuclear blast. Health and weapons guide you past difficult and dangerous situations, but the best thing about this game is the VAT system. The VAT system, is more of an accurate device that allows you to aim at different areas of the enemies body, doing this raises higher damage and critical bonus damage. Enemies are all over the wasteland though, so keep on your toes at all times cause anything could pop round the corner. The game also features third and first person view and people that are scattered around the world are helpful in need.
Overall, Fallout 3 is one of the best RPG's of this generation and continues so today. Pick it up now and have a go, because its nothing like you have ever played before.
