An amazing marriage of the studio's The Elder Scrolls games concepts and the Fallout franchise.

I really enjoyed Fallout 1, although I didn't think I would (the setting did not seem very intriguing at first). But after finishing that first game I knew I was going to buy Fallout 3.

Unfortunately, I did not begin playing the game for a long time, because I tend to find The Elder Scrolls games very boring. That in itself is odd, because I usually love open-world and/or large-world RPGs.

The game started slow, and I got used to that pacing. As a result, when I left the Vault, the open-world was intimidating at first. Arriving in Megaton, beginning a few quests was all it took to make me feel overwhelmed (which is odd, in hindsight).

Once I actually gave the game a chance, it turned out fun and easy to avoid the extra quests I didn't want to tackle. I was able to reach near-maximum level and finish the game well before I grew bored.

I was also worried that the developers wouldn't be able to get the "feel" of Fallout. However, the people in-game, the environment, and the locations were a great match. The art team did a great job with this.
