It's gritty and slightly charming... A pleaser to those who are both FPS and RPG fans... (Spoilers inside, be careful.)

User Rating: 9 | Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition PS3
Okay, so this is my first review and i'll try and do my best.

Graphic - 7.5/10
Sound - 8.9/10
GamePlay - 10/10
Story Telling - 9.6/10
Customization - 9.8/10

Graphics:
They were amazingly gritty and immersive graphics, they kept me extremely interested in exploring. The armor and weapons looked extremely good for the art style that was used at hand, kind of sucked you into the Sci-Fi realm.

However I found the characters themselves to be very lazily done, they looked great for it being a Fallout game, however the animation was lacking in the real detail like we're used to seeing in other games, so it feels like more of an early Next-Gen game and possibly even a older PC era setting of graphic level.

One thing I also was slightly bugged about was the fact that the mouth and voices didn't exactly match up most the time, but it was just one of those little things that get's on my nerve with any game/movie, so it's not a big issue that should way your choice to buy it in the event that you haven't already.

Sound:
Okay, so i'm a sucker for the alien blasters giving me the whole 'Pew-Pew' action, I also love the machine gun sound effects and the voice acting itself was superb for a game of it's scale, Sound is a key part of keeping someone interested in a game. If you're into the Story of a game, It can sometimes even make/or break you depending on the quality, most the weapons were straight on and sometimes sounded like they even used real guns at a range for them.

But the negatives aren't really in the sound quality itself, It comes more from some of the minor glitches where NPC's will actually become voiceless, or exploding weapons such a rocket launcher/grenade will actually have a silent impact. It's not a deal breaker but if you're picky on how your sound comes into a game it'll be quite bum burner.

Game Play Value:
I have been sucked in to the Fallout 3 world and I enjoyed every minute of this ride, be it fighting a giant Alien spaceship with our death rays, or battling huge Scorpions with a Samurai sword! The game is extremely diverse and will always give you a something to do long after you beat it and if you do manage somehow to do every side-quest and main quest there is, you can always start over and have an insanely fun replay value trying to get all the remaining trophies/bobble heads, or possibly just cause you want to experience events as to how they'd play out if you did something differently.

The only thing bad I have to say about Game Play, again has nothing to do with the game value itself.. It's just another glitch that can possibly be a deal breaker for some, be sure you save often cause the game is known to have some crashes that can set you back quite a ways if the game didn't Auto-Save.

Story Telling:
This game has captured the hearts/minds/imaginations of just about everyone that's ever played it, the story telling done by the narrator at the end and how each character interacts with you, the sense of direction even when you're lost in the barren lands is extremely high, If you've ever wondered what the world would be like if nuclear war was to strike out? This would be the chance of a life time to see what it might be like and some quests you may have to even do in real life if something like this ever were to happen, from start to finish it'll keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to see the next chapter in your life's story.

Customization:
I'm actually going to start off with the bad this time, just to show you why .2 points were removed from making it a perfect 10, In my experience and watching video's on youtube and such, I've seen a pretty generic face with most people and it's not just cause they're lazy. A lot of the faces can look pretty much the same in some way due to the lack and depth of extreme detail like Oblivion held in it's game.

Aside from that, the customization is a dream for all gamers that have ever wanted to make yourself in any way you choose, there are tons of armors/helmets/eye wear/shirts/pants/hats/ect... It's just incredible the library of items that they carry and some of the most unique weapons you'll ever see in a video game! I hope some companies will take notes from this game and try to implement such diverse customization into their own games, as this one so gracefully has.

Overall:
If you haven't already bought the game, or you have and traded it in cause you didn't want to have to pay separately for all the Expansions, It's a must buy and i'm almost positive that you'll love the experience you have with it.
