Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes is an underappreciated gem with great potential to shine.
Graphic - Better than yesteryears 4x games, and nothing to be ashamed of for the lack of implementing next gen graphics.
Gameplay- It's unique and very customizable. Many paths to victory which will appease players with different styles of gameplay.
Replay Value - This is where I really feel the games worth. I finished the games campaign in under 50 hours, but I have still been having fun with skirmish modes, generating random maps, creating new factions and heroes, trying out the mods the mod community has been putting out. Playing around with the in-game toolset to create maps and effects.
Cons: For the 150+ hours I have vested in gameplay...three times the game has stopped responding and went to the desktop. Fortunately, the game auto-saves. I've encountered a few random bugs in-game. The developers just need to put out some patches. Also, the ai will need some tweaking and the developers are aware of this and working on updates.
The game is also missing hot-seat/multiplayer-mode. It's not a deal breaker, but it would certainly add to the game rating.
In all, I haven't been disappointed.
PS...If the gameplay starts becoming almost tedious, maybe its time to save game and go to bed. This game does give that "Just one more turn" feeling...and that's a good thing.
