I wonder if I should jump in

I played the demo. The camera construction is horrendous but aside from that I don't see much else to complain about. I like the turn based RPG thing in this game but I do have one question regarding it:

Since players as they get stronger can attack more than one time, along with the enemies, at what point in the game does it begin to feel like things slide off balnace?

Like, does it reach a point where you or the enemy can hit 4 or 5 times in a row and just destroy opponent? Do things get sloppy later on in the system?
