Fantastic! I think the launch titles are lacking because Nintendo had to keep the technology a secret. Now that it's out, we can see what this thing can really do. I can see this being used in schools. Why see pictures of volcanos, when one could rise from your desk.

We take a look at some of the features in the 3DS and what parents should look out for.
The part about the pictures taken with the 3DS only can be viewed on the 3DS is not true. Pop out the SD card out of the 3DS and connect it to a PC, you can copy, view and edit those mpo 3D pics with a 3D utility software. You can also view mpo pictures taken with any other kind of camera/video capture unit, and display them in high resolution 3D on the 3DS
Tomorrw is the big day for us Aussies and i cant wait to get mine ! i got to play one about 3 months ago at a special event and it is awesome
I bought a 3DS and it's pretty good. Out of 10 it's about a 9(There's always room for improvement)
The 3DS cannot be judged by ANYONE unless they have bought it and experienced it. And not just playing a demo at a store, actually going through all its built in features, and abilities, it's amazingly outstanding. Each time I thought I just saw the most amazing and insane thing, I was again mind f**** with the next. I feel like there's so much in it, and yet there's still so much missing soon to come such as internet browser with ADOBE FLASH and netflix, and the e-shop. Anyway, about the 3D, all I have to say is that it's not a gimmick. It's just not. Also, DO NOT compare it to 3D movies, because it is ENTIRELY different. You will never understand it to be able to criticize its prospects until you use one (just like drugs! ;D). Very unique, and it's something that adds a new category for me in how I will always look at the quality of a games graphics again. Because it doesn't just allow it to "pop it" but it seems like you can "feel" the surroundings with your eyes. Oh, and it hurting your eyes is BS, i think. You're either looking at it wrong, or have it too high. When it comes to the menus, and the ar games, etc, the 3D on all the way doesn't itch AT ALL. Now on pilot wings, 3D all the way up is finicky right at the start so I just put it halfway, and it's still 3D and it's still awesome. NGP looks promising as well, although the only thing it brings to the table is insane graphics....so i'll probably get too, just highly depends on launch titles and price.
the 3d is friggen MEZMORIZING. its like being high. when more games come out its gunna be amazing. All I can say is, Starfox, zelda and mario kart. waaaaaaaat
TEMPTING, but i'll wait for a tablet sized screen for 3d i think. I gotta go see it at the store. I'll make my decision then.
Not as much fanfare shown for the release of the 3DS than other things I've seen in recent years. Skeptics abound! And I'm one of them. No offense, Nintendo.
I have a feeling 3D will be just another fad as it was many years ago. It will probably never be standard, especially as long as you have to wear the glasses. Yes I know you don't need the glasses for the Nintendo 3DS but you have to hold it just right for it to work. I bet the sales of this will be fantastic, but will there still be a lot of content for it in 10 years? Well we'll just have to see. It kind of reminds me of what happened to MySpace. It was bought for 330 million in 2005 & now it's worth about 50 million. Ouch! I still think 3D is nothing more than a gimmick that will be mostly ignored in 2020. Do I think 3D will go the way of the 8 track or Betamax? Probably not, but it won't be nearly as prevalent as it is right now or even in 5 years which will probably be it's highest point. I do however think 3D will probably stick around in theaters, but they are all going to have to look like "Avatar" in order for it to be truly successful. As long as they keep converting 2D movies to 3D as poorly as "Clash of the Titans" or "The Last Airbender" it won't truly be a big of a hit as the industry seems to think it will be. Don't get me wrong it will still be big, just not huge. It doesn't help that 3D doesn't translate very well to Home theaters. We can't all afford or want to watch TV wearing the ridiculous glasses on a 32 inch TV. Until everyone can afford giant screens. I have a 42 inch & 3D just doesn't look very good on it.
Its about time that we get a hand held console that has graphics like these. It looks like it has graphics comparable to the wii.
stop torturing me you bastards ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh need it ............... noooooooooooooooooooooow
I couldn't help pre-ordering. Damn you nintendo and your constant marketing. I couldn't resist!
@Master_Of_Fools I hear ya man, the only parental control I could see that would be useful is the online browser one... but other then then that no point.
