Fable is an amazing game in just about every aspect.

Throughout Fable's long, hype-filled, development, we've learned tons about it. Perhaps a little too much. That's the main problem with Fable, it doesn't deliver everything it promised. But, let that be known, isn't all that important because what is there, is amazing. Fable is a superb game. It takes the action RPG genre to a new height of character customization making it perhaps the most straight up fun game the genre has seen to this very day. Though Fable isn't as open-ended as we were led to believe, there is still a good amount of game to be had here. If you were looking for some 100 hour game that you would be playing for years to come, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fun, 15-20 hour, action-packed, magic-filled game, this is it. Fable is one of those games that tries a little too hard to be something it isn't. Fable is not really an RPG. As some people have come to discover, it's more an action game with some RPG elements. You can level up your character, but there isn't all that much depth to it overall. It's fun to live the life of your character though, and it's fun to determine your destiny based on your actions of good and evil. To be honest, this is probably the best RPG on the Xbox, even if it isn't all that much of an RPG to begin with. Not only that, it's one of the best Xbox games, period. It's one of the most solid, complete games so far this year and it's sure to win over the hearts of anyone who is remotely interested in the game. It's highly recommendable.
