To be or not to be...that is the question. Eh. Whatever, let's decapitate some mofos!

User Rating: 9.1 | Fable XBOX
Gameplay: Great story and characters. The fighting and enemies are a lot of fun to take down. Plenty of good combos and attacks to choose from. Enough variety in styles of play, although being an RPG there should' ve been a little more depth and freedom. Overall, the cause and effect thing of being good or evil is kind of significant, but not too much. There's a game called KOTOR that does a better job with that aspect, but still it's fun to look like a badass. Also, the amount of weapons, magic, and armor is not nearly enough for an RPG. It feels like the developers made just enough objects and magic to satisfy rpg fans. One of the bad things about the combat is the aiming sometimes goes astray. For instance, sometimes you'll aim at an enemy and all of a sudden you target an ally or civilian; this gets annoying, but never overly frustrating. Also, sometimes you'll be guarding and when you start to attack an enemy from behind, the enemy's animation looks programmed and then they'll quickly strike you before you can hit them. Other than that, the combat is really good and gives you a lot of variety to choose from.

Graphics: Top notch good stuff. Some of the best grapthics on the Xbox besides maybe Ninja Gaiden or Doom 3. Sound: Great voice acting and excellent music make Fable draw you into the story. Almost as good as Half Life's voice acting. Value: One of the downsides is how short Fable is, especially since it's an RPG. At 20hrs. it feels like more of an action game/adventure with RPG elements. The good thing is there is replay value because it you play an evil dude, then you'll probably want to go back and be good just to see the differences or maybe you want to play as an archer or mage, etc.
