Now that Fable II has been released, there would seem to be no point in getting the first one. But if Fable II is not available to you, pick up this great RPG that defines moral choice. You start off as a little boy and you have to do good or bad deeds in the town. Then suddenly, bandits attack your town and you mother and sister are kidnapped and your dad killed. You are picked up by Maze, a magician, and he takes you to the Guild of Heroes where you will train to be a great warrior, archer, wizard or anything you want. Then, finally, you are released into the world. You may hear complaints that the main quest is extremely short. That's bull***t. Who in the world plays ONLY the main quest and nothing else? There is SO MUCH stuff to do, such as side quests exploring and looking for hidden treasures. You will also find yourself wanting to get better armor and cool weapons, so you look really bad-ass. The moral choice here is also a lot of fun. If you go into evil, you will grow horns, lose hair, your eyes become red, and you radiate an evil aura and people will be afraid of you. If you are good, you get a halo above your head, you're surrounded by butterflies, and everyone loves you. Oh, and I forgot, instead of the original Fable, get the Lost Chapters version as it features an extended storyline and a whole lot of other stuff to do. I will speak the truth: in Fable, you can do anything you want. Literally. Anything. You can burp, fart, flex, do the Cossack dance, marry, be gay, attack civilians, just... everything. I bought this game for about $11.00 in EB Games. If you love adventure games, and rpg games, DEFINITELY check this one out!!!
