Age Reduction Exploit

I love this scam, but something's bothering me.

People seem to suggest to do the exploit during the Find the Archeologist quest.
However, if you do it here, even if you are fully leveled up, you'll still age during your years in the prison.

Therefore, is the quest when you rescue the chief's son at Knothole Glade a better time to perform the exploit?

They're not necessarily mutually exclusive. You could use Find the Archaeologist for exploiting the Chapel of Skorm, and then use the Ransom quest for the Temple of Avo/Light.

Combining the use of both temples with the Find the Archaeologist quest maximizes the speed with which one can reduce one's age.

My suspicion is that most players simply don't want the effects of age on their appearance and there really isn't any discernible difference between the age of 18 and the age of 21 that I can perceive.

The thing about FTA is....

1: It's early
2: There's a rock troll, and an ages of will potion right next to each other!
3: It's the first time you have access to ToA
4: You can go just about ANYWHERE during the quest. (none of that annoying "you are leaving the quest area, if you leave the quest is over" stuff) I'm not sure if you can leave the quest area in the kidnapping quest. This helps because you can do more, such as the CoS, getting both Wizard hats, lot's of silver keys, etc.

so you can reduce your heros age with this exploit?

You can reduce your age by sacrificing people at the Chapel of Skorm or donating money at the Temple of Avo/Light. But the age reduction is granted only once at each of these places and the number of years granted can be variable (I've seen a range of 5-9 years) with the caveat that you can never become younger than 18.

The exploit allows you to get the age reduction more than once at the Chapel or Temple.
