Peter Molyneux chats about John Cleese, thermonuclear bombs, and, oddly enough, Fable III.

@jjmonster2006 Um, dude, how the #!@% are you supposed to judge a game that HASN'T EVEN CAME OUT YET!?!? I think we have a fanboy in the house... @GamerLegend10 Totally man, John Cleese and thermonuclear bombs FTW! Btw, John Cleese voiced the king from Shrek 2 :D
I can't help but feel that Fable has been getting further and further from what made Fable 1 great. Number 2 felt like a stripped down version of 1 because they actually REMOVED stuff from the game and added very little (not counting the graphics since it's two different generations of consoles). Although it's been proven time and again that sequels are never as good as the original.
Peter Molyneux is a cool guy, it must be great to work under his leadership with his passion and enthusiasm for his work.
Lol With his accent it sounded like he said "the new fable map is a lie." (instead of alive) Which is most likely closer to the truth... considering all of the Fables he has told thus far.
Please, better multiplayer with split screen. More customization and clothing! And bring back the bows...
I was not exited for this game until I saw this video, it isnt even a great video its just that it promotes a great game.
I've never been this excited for a game. I'm buying this day of release, end of story!
If Molyneux steps up and includes a proper "two character" co-op (aimed at BOTH characters), I could end-up anticipating the release of this chapter, as much as I mistakenly did the last. 2 was fun I guess. Certainly a nice Christmas game. But fell a little short of what I had hoped for it. I'll add this to my tracked and keep an open mind... simply on merit of entertaining, old-school fairytale storytelling.
John Cleese as a butler? All we need now is Stephen Fry to return as reaver and im sold ...dont even want to see gameplay, with those two in the same game it wount matter to me :D
im just glad tht so far weve seen most of the things tht he talked about. and i think he knows tht he overhyped fable 2 and u can see tht hes being rly carefull abiut wht he says because wathch all the interview from GDC and their all about mostly the same stuff
Fable 1 was one of the best games ive ever played, and easily the best RPG for its time. Fable 2 was SUCH a let down. Peter made so many promises and talk it up so much that when it came out it felt half finished and EXTREMELY repetitive. I can only pray he learnt from his mistakes in Fable 2. Glad to hear him admit that the map system was god awful in F2
Its like u heard Natal and u instantly got afraid of having to move.... the man clearly talked about buttons for the fighting mechanics....
Why is people so afraid of natal?.... Having natal doesn't mean that u have to move like a dork in every game.... natal has also voice recognition you know.... imagine you could interact with some characters by talking to them instead of pressing the A button.... or maybe just waving your hand at them for a moment and then get back to the controller..... u could browse and pick items from the store with your hand or ask the vendor for them.... I cant think of so many cool things that would use natal that doesn't mean u have to stand up for walking or fighting..... be more open minded people
I just wish Peter would focus on getting stuff into the game instead of talking about all the amazing things he wants to get into the game. He talks up so much stuff and then because he's spent some much time talking it up what actually makes it into the game is watered down and half-realized.

please, Please, PLEASE dont put this on Natal. At least not for the whole gaming experience. I would understand if it was just for the jobs or something, but I play videogames to relax, not move my arms around like a maniac try to kill badguys.
I don't care wat anyone says, I was utterly addicted to Fable II for well over a month, and I liked it fifthy times more than oblivion.
larger map with less load screens is one basic thing I propose. more like oblivion. (excluding the buildings) also, give us something to do after we've beaten the game. after fable 2, there was nothing to do but go around albion shooting innocent civilians
fable 1 and 2 was overrated and a total letdown. this one won't be any different.
I remember just waiting around for fable 2 and how it was over shadowed by its massive hype tower. Though i love the fable series and fable 2, There's still a lot of polishing to be done. I think around fable 5 it'll be perfect :P
Oh yes, Mr. Molyneux, don't you bloody dare put this on Natal, I will personally come round your house and make you watch me eat your children.
my gripe about fable 2 was clothes an custumization i didn't real'y like looking like a fat renosance guy just because my char was powerful, but i like what hes saying about the map an such one thing this guy know how to do is sell ice to an eskimo.
my god just shut up i cant stand to hear him talk its like a guessing game what is true and what molyneux talk
Is it really true: Less spells for the weapon morphing things? AND less clothing? what are they playing at????
Please to make my character look messed up when I increase the strength or physique of him like in Fable, especially like Fable 2. Also more weapon variety would be nice
Well at least he admitted to two of the flaws of fable 2.... but a dressing room...really? On the pluss side, if that is the music from the game then good, at least we have a good soundtrack again, or at least a good theme song.
Fable is a really different game in terms of a traditional RPG. With new installments, Molyneux doesn't try to extend the story but just tries to build upon the ideas of the last one. His ideas are pretty damn good its just sometimes they don't work out in practice. Everything he's said so far sounds like what I wanted Fable II to be so hell I'm all for it.
ya cant help but like the man can ya.. im not expectin sutmhin thats gonna rivel dragon age or oblivion meself but the other 2 wernt the best but the was fun hey ad there own feel and i expect this will be as good if not betta then them
Two fable games have been let downs as far as I'm concerned, yes the fable series is very fun and fable 2 had alot of new features but they both lack depth, there's no point in having all these jobs and the ability to own property if getting rich is so easy and there's nothing to do with the property once you own it, I would like to be able to manage my bussinesses a bit, buy upgrades, purchase booze restocks for my bars, choose whether to buy high quality stuff or just stay cheap, and have that reflect on how popular my bussiness is with the town folks. The coop in fable two was a joke, I'm glad to hear they are giving it an overhaul but in all honesty they shouldn't have made it sound so good at E3 since that was a deciding factor in me buying the game.
I really hope it is as good as he makes it sound. I'm glad they rehashed the map thing, he hit the nail on the head with that. Can't wait for it, nevertheless!
i would also like to see more charector custimization.if i were u, peter, i would fallow Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, and just about every other good RPG and let us control more then just our hair cuts.
when i seen the wepons customization in the other vid, i almost fell apart. when i saw wings i wanted to screem. he talkes at the end of this vid about things he hasnt talked about yet, and im wating!!!! about the "cute" suprise before release, i expect it to be nothing like a 'pub games'. Peter comes off as a guy thats smart enuff not to repeat himself.i expect this game to blow my mind, and it gowing to be an agonizing wait.
Im gonna go ahead and believe everything he says. I have a feeling he's really realized the weaknesses and strengths in the past two games. Hopefully hes not just talking out his ass. I BELIEVE IN FABLE 3!!!
Fable III's pre-launch surprise: Puppies with every game. I hope they put holes in the crates...
