Great visuals, good characters, and solid story....just dumbed down gameplay.

The good things:
Graphically, fable 3 is a good looking game, I can't find anything visually to complain about. It's nice to just wander around the envirnment.
I found the story to be good too, not amazing, but done well enough. The characters are interesting, each with their own personalities and roles. Your character also plays a bigger role in dialog than in fable 2.
Fable 3 also shines with making choices, especially when you become king. At first it seems easy you will want to make the choices that make the people happy, unlike the king you rebelled against, but then the game gives you a reason to make tyrannic choices, and it becomes a challenge to decide.

The bad things:
Gameplay. It is too dumbed down and too simple. Melee becomes repetitive, and the only thing to look forward to are finishing moves, but those are hard to tell when they will happen. Ranged attacks are even more generic, and manual scoping has been removed. What makes things worse is there are barely any weapon choices. Sure the weapons will evolve, but that doesnt add enough variety. There are also less spells.
Socializing with towns folk is also dumbed down because you cant choose anymore what action you want to do. I think they did all this dumbing down in order to remove menu selections, but I definitely prefer a menu to keep better gameplay.
If only the gameplay was like fable 2.

Compared to fable 2:
Improved story, characters, and choices, but worse gameplay. As for quests, about the same. Fable 3 has more varied quests, but fable 2 has better gameplay to do those quests.
