Frustrating and annoying, but useful for your character if you plan to get Fable II.
First of all, I've never seen a game download going so damn slow on XBL… it took almost an hour to get the 91 megs… which normally would take no more than 10 minutes in my home ADSL… exercising patience and doing some yoga, I manage to wait for the game to download…
Ok… I got it… I loaded it, went through the tutorials (at least the first minute of each because, who needs those anyway, right?) and I was all set… let's make big money for the hero… Right…
I spent almost three hours playing… I've never been so frustrated in my whole life… but maybe I have to explain something… I hate Vegas and I hate gambling in real life… that is because, for anyone to get interested in gambling, he or she must have won at least once in his or her life… I've never, ever have won in a casino… not a single dollar.
However, considering this is a videogame after all, I thought my luck could change… I… was… definitely… wrong.
I ended up with a lot of debt and here is where the internet community came to help me. I went to GS forums to take a look to all the "strategies" posts… Surprisingly, some of them, actually worked… the ones telling you to change your approach and not go for gold but for level to get new games unlocked… those new games in fact had much better odds and, after an additional two hours, I reduced my debt to just 250 gold… still in debt but with a lot more hope in my heart.
Tonight I plan to get over it again and hopefully I'll be back in blue figures.
All and all, I like the idea of having this arcade games linked in advance to the full games… I think it is a very good idea and one that should be exploited a lot more.
For the game itself, get it ONLY if you plan to get Fable II and as a tool to get some advantages to your character… it's not worthy as a game per se.
