Graphics are amazing, tight responsive controls, great sound. Very addictive and challenging. The multiplayer is horribly frustrating, it's basically an F1 demolition derby. That said I wouldn't recommend it for somebody looking for an online racer. I would recommend renting it first before coughing up $65 big ones. It's an amazing game thus far in single player. The sense of speed is awesome, you always feel like you are on the edge pushing the envelope with disaster hanging over your head. I am tempted to get a wireless racing wheel to enhance the game. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. I have had to mute the entire lobby several times because of the immature trash talk, but that's par for course on live. From what I have seen the people that don't have any skill cause the most problems online. I just hope someday they can program racing games to instantly kick people that are deliberately causing problems during the online races. The difficulty lies in determining whether it was deliberate or not, their are too many factors so the developers hands are tied. The multiplayer is full of bugs (leveling up system is totally broken, loss of xp for no reason, phantom time penalties, collision penalties which results in loss of xp when nobody is around, bad connections, and obnoxious load times). The community is the worst of the worst on xbox live so be prepared to hit the mute. If you can completely disregard the multiplayer aspect you will love it.
