Much better than expected !

I have played all the F1 games from the EA era, the GP series from Microprose for PC, F1 CE for the PS3, and I can honestly say this is the best effort to represent the Formula One championship. I'm recently playing iRacing after giving rFactor a good run, and although the last two are more simulation focused games, I can honestly say that F1 2010 has both great graphics and physics engine. The racing is fun and challenging and the career mode is very well implemented. Sounds and visuals are top notch. The tracks and cars are rendered perfectly.
Do not take me wrong, it is not a simulation like iRacing, but I could say it does a very good job at bringing the F1 experience to your living room.
I do not understand Gamespot's rating (7.5). Gamespot users give it a 9.0 and the average critic's rating is 8.5. Maybe it is because F1 is not very popular on the U.S. and the reviewer is not familiar with it's type of racing. If you are looking for NASCAR or maybe Need for Speed type of racing, look elsewhere. This a very specific form of racing but if you are really an auto racing fan you will enjoy and appreciate this game, it does not matter if you are a NASCAR or Indy fan, F1 2010 will give you the excitement and challenge any motor sports fan looks for.
