it's a great racing game mainly because you "fly" with over 1000 km/h!
it's also structured like mario 64,they have a similar game format but there's not doubt that it's better than mario kart 64...that's a racing game for children,this is for true racing fans that want adrenaline to rush in their body!
there are 3 cups-jack,queen & king,each with 6 races so there are 18 locations.every race has 3 laps & after the first lap the boost power is enabled.using it will also do damage to your ship.you can repair it by going over the violet stripe.
it has 3 dificulties-novice,standard & expert.i know that you have 5 lives(ships)available at the novice mode...i've never tried the other 2 dificulties:)
the music,as i said,it's great because it's made by joe satriani-nuff said.the graphics have beautifull colours.this tipe of game is ideal with 3-d graphics because in 2d you only have flat,linear races.
at the gp race mode,there are 4 tiers with ships that you can unlock.at the begining you have 6 available ships & before the race you can adjust the initial balance that every ship has,by changing the cursor left to maximum accelaration or right to maximum speed.the ship will start slow if you choose to move it to right.
at the death race mode you race in a boring ring track & your purpose is to destroy the opponents by smashing them into the boundaries or throwing them out of the track,in the abbys.
the main problem of the game is that you get bored after one week or so,just like with mario kart 64.but in that week of continuos play you will have the ride of your life!
