This is one of those games that will leave you in a state of nausea (I'm not at all saying it sucks).

User Rating: 9.3 | F-Zero GX GC
At the beginning of the 1990's, one game for the SNES started an entire genre. That classic of the 16-bit era was F-ZERO, and here is one game that lives up to its pedigree. F-ZERO GX is the fifth game in the series and it surely adds a good deal of extras to the series. The ability to build and customize your own machine is one of them. Combined with an engaging story mode that takes you into the life of Captain Falcon himself add some nice touches to the game. The game still has it's normal Grand Prix and Time Attack modes along with a newly revamped Practice mode, as well. Sound wise, the game is plentiful with well done sound-effects. From the squeal of the machine's engine, to the bump and smash of your machine slamming the roadway after a jump, they add a good deal to the experience. The music is also excellent, with a good supply of not only catchy tunes but music that mixes well with the environment. The music in the Character Profiles menu also will be in your head for a long while, and not in an annoying way, either. The graphics are well done, as the pretty well detailed and immense environments well surpass that of previous F-ZERO games. The locations truly give you a sense as if you are flying through a forest or dodging in-between city skyscrapers. While the detail could have been amped up a bit, you'll only notice this if you completely stop on the track. You'll be too busy blazing at speeds of 1000KPH to even notice. This is one of those games that will leave you in a state of nausea (I'm not saying it sucks). F-ZERO GX will send you one hell of a roller coaster ride, one that may make you sick but you'll want to go on it again and again. If you've never entered the F-ZERO universe, GX is the definite way to do it.
