F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Video Review

This is more of an action game. But I still enjoyed it!

the second and the third fear may not be as good as the first. But thats with most horror games. But instead of playing the sequels for the scares primarily, try playing more for the story in general with a couple scares as a bonus. It'll definitely cut down on the whining for those who are finally getting tired of it.

I disagree with this review. If there is one word that comes to mind when I think of FEAR2, it's "solid". The weapons feel right The levels encourage some degree of tactical play The enemies are put up a good fight The atmosphere is terrific

Weak visuals? Come on,now,the game looks and sounds great,both on consoles and PC! Great game,easily 8-8.5.

I recently finished the first F.E.A.R game. Should I go straight for this or play the two expansions for the first game first? I like the sound of Extraction Point since it picks up immediately after the first game, but I also heard it's not cannon, so is it worth it?

What an underrated game and a bad reviewer. Yes it doesn't add that much onto FEAR 1 in originality but it improves the original game in almost every way. It is a beautifully crafted, very well designed and fun to play FPS. If you just want to be scared then you should look for another title but if you also want a cinematic experience with good atmospheric level design like Half-Life 2 then you will definately like FEAR 2.

so F.E.A.R. 1 is the best in the series, but which is second place? F.E.A.R. 2 or F.3.A.R.?

meatman246 me too it doesnt have the impact of the first but IMO its just as good, I just played it on PC and got it from the Steam sale, I wasnt expecting much but ending up really enjoying it

why does everyone seem to think that this game is not scary or as good as the first? i think its a great game with lots of scary moments and good shooting. just my opinion.

Just bought the first, but I doubt I'll get this one.

I'm playing this right now and it's a really good shooter and not as scary atmosphere as the first(which I loved).I don't think a 7 is anywhere near as high a ranking as it should be.I would say 8 to 9.I'm not even paying attention to the story I'm just running and gunning in slo-mo while flipping tables over for cover.

It's been a while, but I 'think' they ended up patching in the slo-mo into the mp. (I don't play mp, just seem to remember seeing it as an update in Steam). *P.S. I also feel the game is underrated, even many people who still like the first FEAR better have often said this game is better than it's scores. If you haven't tried it, it's had a price drop and runs flawlessly on PC, even jacked all the way up on systems that can handle it (never once lagged or CTD {crash to desktop} on me). Try FEAR and FEAR2 and maybe you'll find yourself willing to try the 3rd next month (please don't let it be bad!). The 1st FEAR/expansions you can buy on Steam $9.99 (that price for all 3). The 2nd FEAR went from $49.99 to $19.99 on Steam. They're all worth playing at those prices.

compare to the first FEAR, this FEAR is a joke..... so disappointed

He is reviewing the games on a basis from which game maker they are. So Blizzard It's straight away awesome and get it meanwhile less known studios are bad. And I Agree with Remora133 and jvsexy.

whats with the all the " This game isn't scary "........Seriously????? Like the first part was scary lol?Just enjoy the game for what it is a FPS.

This game is underrated! I really enjoyed my time with this game, & think game-spot's review was harsh. If you enjoyed the first, then checkout some of the gamer reviews, but make sure you read those that are positive about this installment. Some people will find fault no matter what, because negative people can't focus on anything else.

I was dissapointed as a fan of the First FEAR but this game is at least worth 20 bucks, little more or little less.

I've been on the fence when it comes to this game for a while. The first one if one of my all time favorite shooters a long with Prey. With the announcement of FEAR 3 I guess I better go ahead and beat this one.

Uhhggg...Its him AGAIN?! Why is the suckiest reviewer gamespot has doing almost every review? Hes horrible.

The first bit of the game looked like just another shooter, but then the hallucinations started and the bit in the hospital totally freaked me out! I've played it for just about half an hour and so far, it's been one heck of a game and there's more badass stuff to come!!

and the multiplayer is sweet

This guy is a "know it all" asshat. GS should either make that guy get real or kick his fat ass into oblivion. I used to rely on GS' reviews, but because most of important reviews are done by that guy I can't anymore.

Honestly, in my opinion, the gameplay in FEAR 2 is better than that of the first game, but the story isn't as engaging and compelling as the original. Not to mention not nearly as creepy and scary. So after some consideration, I think I'll pick this sequel up just to complete the series and get ready for FEAR 3. This game does look like alot of fun at least even if the story is somewhat weak compared to the first FEAR.

this doesn't look too great but F.E.3.R does. first person cover system, tense co-op, and lots of intense bloody action

nothing special.. but good none the less.

I hope the game doesnt show the girl parially nude for too long....but I will get this game since you can turn off the gore

This game definitely deserves more then a 7 Im not gonna say the game is perfect but Id say at least an 8.5 I worried Im gonna jump out of my chair and end up in the hospital from playing this game

In my opinion, I don't know what this guy is talking about, but I didn't think this was a bad game at all. The only thing that sucked about it was that it was different from the first FEAR. The graphics were fine, the story was fine and the ending certainly wasn't the worst I've seen. I found it kind of messed up, and that to me is a lot better than it being horrible.

this game is good, just not the same groundbreakin impact that the first one had in 2005. Some flaws, but overall a good experience, the game is well optimized for PC and looks great with max details.
