ATTN: We now have a pinball arcade in Austin, TX

It is called Pinballz Arcade, and it is located on 183 a block east of Burnet (right before Teacher Heaven). I helped with the test day today. Many machines are already in perfect working order. Others are nearly there, & a few are still being worked on. It opens officially next Saturday. The weekend after that, I'll be there for a chunk of my day of birth. They do not have F-14 Tomcat. However, they do have some 85 other pinball tables. Most of them are fantastic.

I wish Indiana Jones would start treating me as nicely as Bride of Pinbot. Last week I couldn't avoid getting replays on Indiana Jones. This week I can hardly launch a mission.

Today I dropped one credit into Fire! and ended up playing 7-8 games over the next hour off that one credit. The slingshot above the right flipper still isn't working, but the table is great fun anyway.

I suspect he's sitting on a family fortune of some kind already. You can tell he's doing it for love of the games. They're also sitting on a location with dirt cheap rent, in a city that loves strange & wonderful things, and they've got the only pinball arcade in the region.

Black Knight is finally up & running, but it's still not in very good shape... They're getting another Black Knight table soon, which will be in much better condition. It's still fun to finally play the real table, either way.

This one (or one of the two Blackout tables) might very well be the table that gets raffled off at the New Year's Eve party.

Tonight I bumped into a couple I might playing Black Knight the other day, and they challenged my dad & me to more multiplayer pinball, this time on Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure. We started just as 2011 did, and we didn't run out of replays for an hour & a half! It was a most excellent introduction to the new year.

It may also interest you that 2011 is a prime number. We can expect great things of this year.

Our first league game is tonight, and I finally got my internet connection registered & working---albeit only wirelessly so far.

Also, GameFAQs finally did away with building signatures into the message box. Since the template had started to break, I'm not at all sad to see it go.

I finally lost a match tonight, which will probably drop me from 1st to 3rd or 4th; and I might get to play Zach again (yay for his name!) since I kept him from getting too many points. After a 10,000,000 point comeback on Pirates of the Caribbean (although he beat me by a little bit on my home table, Blackout) in a game that went to 15.7 & 16.2 million, I still managed to secure enough points that it was only 6-10 tonight.
