oh come the playstation fanboys are just too (stupid) blind 2 see the difference between natal and the PSeye. The PSeye uses a move sensitive camera and natal uses two cameras an infrared one and one which is sort of like the PSeye's camera but captures motion in all three axes so you can't go through the 3d model like you can in eye pet and for other thing
I do agree with TruthSeekr01, but, the fun is not playing with a virtual pet, it is playing with a virtual monkeydogcat! I mean, those arent real! This is the only way you could possibly play with a monkeydogcat in your life, this is a great opportunity.
I hate to say this but its a sad, sad day when kids need to look at a screen and pretend to "pet" and "stroke" a virtual pet off a $200 gaming console to have a sense of emotional fun. Don't get me wrong...I love the technology and I think its an incredible idea, but to put it in a game and pretend stuff in the virtual world is just two steps short of being stuck in a Matrix movie. Thumb-down me if you want, but this is the sad truth.
Why is everyone so excited about this, its just gonna be another one of those great ideas that someone brings out then everyone forgets about 1 month later. How much do you want to bet the both the PSeye and natal will have major flaws in the end
I got this game yesterday here in SA , its really amazing although the PSeye makes it very confuse where you as a real person should be located and sometimes the virtual pet is having hard time to recognize your movements ?.. but in general ? its worth its price and there is too much time you can spend on it without getting bored easily .
This looks amazing, though I'm skeptical about how well it'll sell considering how much it'll come to for both the Ps Eye and the game. I personally won't touch it until a cam/game bundle hits £30
Half the people on here are simple minded and cant see something that is innovative and creative. IMO
i wonder if you can abuse it?
Natal is just crap, Sony had this way before them.
ok, that is cool. very very cool
looks very interesting maybe even fun i guess i will have 2 c
That's so cute when it was singing
@pgn420 because the eyepet won't poop all over your house and you don't have to feed him lol @Normaral85 it's called the pseye and yes they said there would a version that comes with the pseye
Looks kinda nice :)
My only question is does it come with the EyeToy? So I don't buy one now.

You go squish now!
Why do you think people can't just go out and buy a puppy home? This eyepet idea is silly and stupid...
already better than project natal >_> to bad either one of them is pointless
forgot to say this is ok for kids and a novelty for adults but thats all it is a novelty
shame Eyedentify got canceled ages ago if u look at the video clips would of been great although they wer done in 2005 so would of been more better now hope they bring it back they dotn do wnough for the ps3 eye camera if they did i would get one
Wow you'll be able to really inpress your 4 year old sister with this game. If i want cutzie japanese dribble i would of bought a Wii
Would you rather talk to a virtual boy by a lake, or have your own virtual pet in your own room that you can play with and interact in a ton more ways. project natal looks soooo boring compared to this.
Oh and there is also another one guys, Eyedentify.... Eye of Judgment.

rome was not built in a day, started out with small things and then things like the the Colosseum came along, this is just the start of what they can do, so don't just say this is a waste.
omg! that totally looks like project natal.....just kinda creepy..... ...maybe something for a casual gamer, but i'd rather stay by my controller
God, that thing is creepy...

@ Trogcreature Agreed. what a waste of technology..
BTW this wil sell and with good reason
I almost prefer this to project natal I do not doubt this will be as good as it looks. With project Natal however, I don't think it will be as good as it looks in some of the videos - especially the "milo" video. If it is as good as it looks then great.
I absolutely love Augmented Reality. It has sooo much untouched potential, and I can't wait to see what it will look like when it reaches its fruition.
Looks like Project Natal is already here... Wait, what? The PSEye already does that? Hmmm...
That's just CUTE!!!!!
TrogCreature. I think you are Totally wrong on this and it is your views that are misjudged. Maybe its not your thing but that doesnt mean it wont sell. This is a great piece of software which will have broad appeal. I also think it will sell incredibly well to the casual gamer as long as it gets mainstream publicity. Its not difficult to picture families with young ones playing this at Christmas, Eyepet is a great example of creative use of the PS Eye and a good addition to the PS3 lineup..
This technology has so much potential and all they could do is create a suped-up tamagotchi?!! WTF? How about a proper rpg or crime solving game with augmented reality features? I think sony have really misjudged their target market with this, it won't sell...
thats freaky, but man, think if they could put out an rpg where other characters interact with what you do in the living room. or set a fantasy background on the tv with you in the middle, and then the characters interact around you...haha sweet
This is so weird.... And cool... And weird.
