A bright flash of light, a ringing telephone... Where am I? Whats going on? These are your first thoughts as you begin your journey through the village of Yaughton. You are alone in this village, everyone has mysteriously vanished. As curiosity begins to consume you as you begin to search for clues as to what happened.

Spread though out is surprising large village are audio messages, quarantine signs, posters, and many more different little clues to help you imagine what life was like before everyone disappeared. Most importantly are the events that have been preserved by these growing orbs of light that fly around from one point of interest to the next. Get close of to these orbs and tune in to watch the people of Yaughton, etched in light, interact with each other. Learn the relationships of the community members while seeing how they react to the strange occurrence around them. Grow to feel connected to them as they become increasing aware and scared of the danger heading their way.

This is quickly becoming my favorite new genre of videogames. First person adventure games as us fans would call them. These games are also degradingly known as "walking simulators" to some. These are very much laid back games that let you leisurely explore at your own pace. How much of the game you see or how much of the mystery you solve is up to you. You don't have to worry about fighting or shooting anyone. You are simply there to enjoy a well designed narrative.

Everybody's Gone to Rapture is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. The photo-realistic graphics easily impress. A wonder and sometimes haunting score fits the game perfectly. I haven't quite finished the game yet but as I near the end I continue to get immersed in this world. The community and the characters that make it up flare with personality. I'm quite excited to find out, where did these people vanish to?
