Everquest makes a non Evercrack game

User Rating: 9.3 | EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers PS2
Everquest Online Adventures Frontiers is a solid yet simplistic MMO RPG that actually holds itself very well on PS2 despite FFXI stealing a lot of the MMO fanbase. You have the ol’ lvl up with XP stuff that all RPGs have but you also have class mastery, Crafting skills, choices of what spells/attacks to use, an in game auctioning system to sell extra items for more then an NPC will give you. A four person party system is your best way of obtaining experience points (XP) a few problems you encounter are LDs (link dead) which as far as I can figure just happens a lot to everyone… You get some good customizing options for your characters including looks, name, armor and weapons. Good luck finding a name not already taken or valid though….. Though it may not be as addictive as some Everquest games it is still very addictive so try to play in moderation… The graphics are very good in a early Playstation 2 kind of way and the sound is pretty good put not great.. you basic mode of communication is typing, so if you don’t have a keyboard, you will lose out a little bit. The price if you find it new may be a little to high…. The used price is approximately $1.00 (I have seen it new a few times at that price) A word of advice though….. don’t buy the non frontiers if you can’t find frontiers, the non frontiers version is pretty much only a demo….
