Unless you're planning on camping out to be among the first in the world to get your very own Wii this weekend, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the launch of Nintendo's innovative new console right here on GameSpot, on Saturday evening at approximately 7:30 p.m. PST.

We'll be reporting live via tape-delayed broadcast from Nintendo's Wii kickoff in a New York City-based Toys "R" Us store, where Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime is expected to sell the very first console and offer some remarks about what promises to be a historic moment in gaming. Meanwhile, GameSpot's own Ricardo Torres, Tim Surette, Ryan Mac Donald, and Brad Shoemaker will be on hand, bringing you the latest on the Wii and those brave souls intending to be the first in line to get one.

While the Wii won't be sold until midnight Sunday, GameSpot will have a slew of new information about the console leading up to that point, including more and more reviews of the Wii's launch titles. Viewers of the event will receive a special emblem for tuning in to the live broadcast. Until then!
