The host is such a douche! "Why are people still making Real Time Strategy games? ...Why is this game (Generals 2) being made?" Because if not, an angry mob with torches and pitch forks will be arriving at EA HQ. Seriously, the problem with these guys is that they're too focused on the competitive aspect of gaming. His only reasoning for Generals 2 not being made is that it's not good enough to go against Activision. How about because C&C is (or was) a fantastic series, and there's no reason it shouldn't continue? Plus, people have been asking for a Generals 2 since the day the original was released.
Fortnite sounds a lot like hands on tower defense. Epic added a lot of TD elements to Gears of War multiplayer. Also, some forms of TD games involve using towers and walls to block and route enemies. The day night cycle provides the build/ attack waves. I hope it's coming to PS3.
The RTS genre is NOT dead! Generals was one of my favorite games of all time and I still play it sometimes. I think that the genre can grow, just with innovation. End War touched on it but fell short.
tom you didnt know what you were meant to think with The Last of us, which is good, because games need to get out of the whole, you must think this now, and this now. but it doesnt which is good
i missed you brendon, you should get a comeback your mum joke to magrino as hes always talking about your mum. hehe. i told him, cause brendon is the original host (from when i started listening) but tom you have made it video, which is cool, but brendon will still be my first love when it comes to the HotSpot but then there is the whole this is my podcast thing he did, which was a bit annoying
the total war games, are my favourite of all time, and they are remaking (they being the creative assembly), rome total war, proably, 2, and they just get better (technicaly better, eg better AI, better GFX) and i think that shogun 2 is btter, so rome should be better, people should take not of what TCA are doing with strategy games, and not to clone, but to think that parts cool and use that idea
