Sin and Punishment: Star Successor Hands-On

While we've already played the Japanese import version of Sin and Punishment: Star Successor quite a bit, it was nice to finally get our hands on the North American version of the game. Like the original, Star Successor is an on-rails, Star Fox-like shooter where your character is free to move around a designated space as the game forces you forward through the level. We played two of these levels--one in an industrial setting that takes place at the beginning of the...

    Mega Man 10 Hands-On

If you've been avoiding Capcom's long-running Mega Man series because you're afraid of the game's legendary difficulty, then Mega Man 10 might be the game for you. In addition to a slew of new bosses to battle and pixel-perfect jumps to make, the upcoming 2D platformer will feature an easy mode that should be a good fit for those who lack the skills normally required by the blue bomber. Metroid: Other M Hands-On

Metroid: Other M--codeveloped by Nintendo and Team Ninja (of Ninja Gaiden fame)--is best described as a culmination of all the Metroid games that came before it. After the morning presentation at Nintendo's media summit in San Francisco, we were let loose to roam the floors and get some hands-on time with a variety of games, but most importantly, this was our first chance to play Super Mario Galaxy 2. Like in the previous game, Mario will roam the universe that defies the laws of physics, hopping from one planet to another as well as visiting plenty of exotic locales. But this time, he will be accompanied by the adorable green dinosaur that we've all come to know and love--Yoshi. Nintendo had 10 levels for us to choose from, so we did our best to...

    Super Meat Boy Hands-On Impressions

At some point in time, you may have been playing a 2D platformer and thought to yourself, "Sure this character is cool and all, but I'd much rather be playing as a gooey blob of meat." And that would make you weird--really weird. But there's good news! A new 2D platformer is on the way called Super Meat Boy, a tough-as-nails side-scroller that has you playing as an impossibly adorable chunk of meat over the course of 300 bite-sized levels.
