Get ready for a Hyborian Adventure!
With Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures finally on store shelves and off to a smooth start, we're putting together a three-hour live gameplay session marathon, and you're invited!

We'll start off by asking for user input on what sort of character you'd like to see us make, and then we'll take this fledgling adventurer through some of the early single-player areas of the world of virtual Hyboria. Afterward, we'll jump onto another character for some multiplayer questing, and everyone with an Age of Conan account is encouraged to join the party. All GameSpot members over the age of 17 (as this is an M-rated game) will be able to tune in to this special event, and GameSpot subscribers will be able to chat with one another as the marathon moves along.

So be sure to tune in on Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m. PT to watch Kevin VanOrd hack, slash, and decapitate his way through the Hyborian kingdoms. For those of you unable to catch the live broadcast, be sure to check out the highlights reel and archive!

Congratulations to the following GameSpot users who were selected from among those who correctly answered our Conan-universe trivia questions:

Heh.. These "trivia question events" must be rigged. I never win anything and I always answer correctly. I sent in all 4 correct answers, but off course, as always I wasn't selected...

Even the winner names are suspect... It's funny how 3 out of four collector's ed. winners all have Italian last names.

    @ HolteEnder4Life:

Actually, Gaute said in an interview that you would get a buff from having sex. I'm sure the screen would go black or something (a la Fable), but you still can get some.

Been playing it since the Earlie Access, level 50 Barb now. Havent rushed trough it.. but this game is realy sweet, sure there's some bugs here and there... some lagg places, but their fixing it all the time so it'll be gone soon. Except all that the game is great, realy great.. its feels so free with the FFA, and the enviorments are just awsome, the snowie mountins and swamps etc. Dont hassitate! BUY IT!

I have played for 4-5 days now and I´m a lvl 29 Barbarian. It´s allot of bugs in it and I´m talking really big things here but the weird thing about that is that it´s still the best mmo out there for the moment, Yes it beats wow but doesn't mean wow is dead (Only for me)

4 day of play, i'm a lvl 19 guardian, and for now i can say that's TOO FUNNY, its really what i was waiting in mmorpgs.
And i'm not new to mmorpgs... daoc, horizons, lineage2, eq2, wow.

For now, this is game is really a good news. (played also on nighttime -singleplayer- and daytime -multiplayer-).

(sorry for my english XD )

It like pretty good because it has lot of action, blood and adventure. It looks like it better than mass of effect. But I never played it so can tell.

I hope Conan gets bigger than WOW. We need something just a little bit more intense in the action rpgs. This could be it.

Great MMO, the traders and banks are back up as of today and even though there are bugs rmember... it's an online game that is just now a week old. The gameplay is great and they are consistantly fixing things. I plan on playing this game for some time to come.

"With Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures finally on store shelves and off to a smooth start." I must be missing somthing here, Its not smooth, bugged quests bugged zones, etc. Oh btw trading post is still down as i write this, which has three main features that you and your guild need. I put my mammoth and rhino in storage in the trading post storage when i was level 10. Now im 45 and still cant get it out. rather irratating. But with that said, I am loving the game. Its one of the funnest MMO's ive played. When it gets to running smooth it will be awsome.

The game looks pretty good, but even if I was a PC gamer I'd still prefer Oblivion. That game rocks on PS3!

Don't believe anything bad you hear about this game from someone that only played till lvl 20.

The game doesn't even start unti Lvl 20. The first 20 levels are predominately single player. It opens up a lot at 20 and even more at 40. It is sick, it is great, it is the future.

I've played this game up to level 20, and while it does bring something slightly new to the playing field, it is not the game I had hoped for. After four 70's in WoW, I'm pretty burnt out on that game. Unfortunately, this game's UI sucks, and its ball-and-chain quest line is not necessarily an improvement, as you are forced into a storyline that does not allow others to participate. Overall, I am thoroughly frustrated.

As only a level 19 Dark Templar, I'm enjoying the game. It's definitely a nice pace after playing WoW for so many years. The fact it's more violent and downright "real" is just awesome. The only thing that needs work is the PvP, in that you can spawn resurrection points. While the dead guy is loading, the campers can just go to town on them.
