6.6? What is wrong with you Gamespot? This game is so underrated... 100 Times better than WoW... THIS is an MMORPG.

When i first found EVE, over a year ago, i was much younger, and dissapointed by the slow- paced gameplay, and i went back to WoW. But, i decided that a year later, i'd try it out again. I played through the lengthly tutorial, and voila, back to where i left off. Now, this is the point for immature hack- and- slash players to stop reading, because this isn't WoW, and it isn't your average game. EVE is it's own MMORPG. It steal any other MMORPG concepts. And that's why it is so good. The UI is perfectly set up, the combat system is so amazing and unique... This game has gone above and beyond my expectations. While it has a very steep learning curve, and takes lots of patience and dedication, this game is a rewarding blast of fun. First off, the community. This is what really stands out about EVE. The community is so noob- friendly, and helpful. There's always someone to group up with as well. It's easy to get into a corporation, and find your place in the EVE Universe. Speaking of the EVE Universe, it is the most MASSIVE M.M.O.R.P.G. EVER. It is just breathtaking, the amount of work CCP has put into it. It blows away the "6 years" that Blizzard spent on WoW. The storyline is very well put together as well. There's so many different career paths you can choose from... Miner, Fighter, Trader, etc. The pvp system is perfect... there's 1.0-0.0 space. the lower the number, the higherthe danger. .9- .5 Is where the panzies hide to mine away in the safety of the Concord piloce, where other players cannot attack you. But, 0.4 and below is where the action happens. This is where other players duke it out in 1v1, or 100v100. The PVP system is MUCH better than WoW. Those who attack other players get a bounty on there head, which is much better than the PVsystem in other games. I'd like to point out as well, that the combat system in this is far from combat systems in other games. In WoW, you walk up, right click, pick a few spells, and bada- boom, you win. I've played WoW for two years, and i know that there's uch more to it than that, but that's pretty much how it works on a baseline. But, in EVE.... oh boy... The combat system in this game gives you a challenge. it's much more tense and exciting.
I'm going to stop here and tell you the few bad things about EVE. Hunting a fight sometimes takes a long time if you don't know what your doing. Also, this game takes a load of patience. Although there's plenty of things to do while waiting for something, and the fact skills continue to train while your offline, it still takes a long time to complete most tasks. Back to the good things though.
The market in EVE is huge. There's thousands upon thousands of items to choose from. The game is just so well put together.
The video in this game is something to remember as well. The graphics are simply breathtaking... From the stars, to the effects, to the planets, asteroids, space stations, ships..... Everything looks perfect. The music puts you in the perfect setting as well.
The baseline sound effects leave something to be desired though, often cutting off mid- flight, and just the overall lack of engine sounds. Well, EVE will give me thousands of hours of gameplay to come, and take my advice, check out the trial, play it for a few days, and you'll like it. Farewell.
