This title needs more credit from the Gaming community.
Recently there has been a lot of mockery of the "cheap" simulation games ... But, I think this release deserves a closer look.
An almost complete re-write of the engine that powered the fairly successful Euro Truck Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a very much more polished product. It now comes with licensed Trucks like Scania, Renault, and Man with more on the way.
Diversity is the real draw here, there are hundreds of jobs to and from a large selection of cities in Countries including Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and some of France and the UK, with talk of more to be added.
The map, covers a fair chunk of Europe and feels a lot bigger to drive that earlier versions. There are many new sights to see, from landmarks in various countries to the little details like road-works and level crossings.
In a games industry that seems to be obsessed with Zombies and war-themed FPSs it's nice to seem something different seeing the light of day.
Gamespot should really review this game because it deserves a lot more credit than it has been getting since it's release.
If you've played any of the previous truck sims or not, this really needs to be played.
