I have been a die-hard Madden fan for years. Madden is tradition to me. However, when i got a chance to play last season's NFL 2K3, I was impressed. This year Madden was released earlier and it lived up to the hype for a certain amount of time. The options that Madden has are superb, but with little change in gameplay and an almost somewhat useless playmaker option and the incredibly hard difficulty level in owner mode really bring the game down. Enter ESPN. With a presentation and an environment so lifelike like no other, captures the true passion of NFL football. The control and gameplay is almost perfect. The player models are more proportioned correctly this year compared to years past where the players were lanky. Don't get me wrong, Madden is still a great game, but Espn has me turning the other cheek. If you can incorporate Chris Berman into a game, I'm there.
