Very much a programing by numbers game following the same old formula. Theres a bad guy (mash X), oh and a boss (mash X)

EOE is a short lived but surprisingly amusing game. By gaining magic 'legacy' weapons you can fight off the forced of evil, sound familiar, it should. This game doesn't do much when it comes to innovation, everything is either on par or below.

The graphics are truly boxy, at home on an PSone. Plenty of shiny bursts of light to accompany your furious hammering of the enemy (and your X button). And flashy special moves that are unleashed by a complex movement of the right analogue stick.

Its all pretty basic, and fits in well with the hack and slash genre. Despite this, I love it. There is something that enthralls, something that pulls you in. I can't put my finger on it but it is just amazing how quickly a hour or two passes by when you pick up the controller. I recommend that you at least try this once, maybe it will suck you in like it did for me, who knows.
