Great new racer for the PlayStation 2 that racing fans should give it a try.

User Rating: 9 | Enthusia Professional Racing PS2
There are many racing games for PlayStation 2., few of them simulators mainly most recent Gran Turismo 4 and much earlier release of TOCA Race Driver 2. While Enthusia Professional Racing may seem like just another car simulator it does differ in some ways. The gameplay is one of the most things that I liked. Plays pretty much like Gran Turismo 4, but I find the gameplay much fun. I like how it really is noticeable on handling between each car. Muscle cars are great, I can drift or powerslide on tight turns. The elusion of the cars movements when you look at them is nice. Replays look great as well. Graphically Enthusia Profession Racing is very decent. The cars are nicely detailed and modeled. The tracks are designed great as well as the lighting on it. I have my PlayStation 2 set all and hooked up using Component Video Input (CVI) on my nice PHILIPS flat screen. As this gave me a nice look at the graphics the game offers. I did not see any settings for widescreen or progressive scan. Ah…The sound. This is where I was put to sleep….I really did not like the music. Some tunes ware ok but others are not good enough for the race. The sound FX ware on the right track with the cars. Each car sounded like it should. The roar of the engine and the skidding on the road. There is not much I can say about the sound other than that. This game can be picked up for $39.99+tax here in the US. If you can squeeze that much out of your wallet then you do so if you are a racing fan. Other than that find a way to play it….rent or barrow it from a friend. Overall the game is a great pick op or a weekend rental for any racer fan. The game does offer fun and great number of tracks to go around. This is Konami’s first attempt at it so hope we see the next one.
