@gijas I loved Pacific Storm: Allies! Not that you'd know from my 2.2 review on Gamespot... after I wrote it Lesta fixed most of the main bugs as you know, but people said it was a funny review so I left it up unedited. I agree with you it was still way too unstable to really devote time to a proper campaign - ctd's more frequently than most PC games I played - a shameful display. @RavenXavier Thanks for the tip! Wow... a new Fleet Command game? I'm already there! :)
Elements of War - Gameplay Trailer
- Apr 7, 2011
This trailer features some of the in-game battles and weather-controlling weapons that will be showcased when the game hits US stores on April 12 and digital distribution services on April 15.
Optimized for Microsoft's cutting edge DirectX 8 technology. Choppy trailer. Obviously lame camera control. Only 12 mission campaign? How do they expect to compete with the other good RTS titles coming out this fall? Fail.
Hmmm... the actual gameplay little clips dont look that impressive. Think I will stick to Red Alert and Starcraft II for my RTS.
I agree with you gijas, the lighting looks good. So what weather weapons are available in the game... HAARP? And what's the strategic situation? I mean who's supposed to be fighting with who? I like Lesta Studios' work but I wish they or some other devs could do a remake of that old classic Amiga game, 'Carrier Command'. I'd buy that!
sounds like every other rts ever made, lol red alert 2 had a weather control machine too... and they made that game 11 years ago. and a 'challenging' 12 mission campaign? thats it?
I realize i could be wrong... but a good sign a game is going to be buggy and/or below average is the fact that even the trailer is lagging. Every time the UI is shown the FPS drops to near nil. And the seconds tick away while the game stutters, its the trailer, not the flv. I think the last game I saw with a laggy trailer was the critically acclaimed "Stalin Vs Martians"...
Btw, Minecraft is the must ugly game, yet it's sold almost 2 million times already....that shows how much people can be wrong.
It's funny how so many people who commented claim to know how good the game is based on nothing but some graphics and animation in short movie. Graphic whores....sigh
Lol strategy games are poping up like mushrooms after the rain lately... maybe cause of weather based weapons lol.
BLAH!!!!! I wouldn't even download this through Bittorrent. Save your money and buy World in Conflict instead or any version of Command and Conquer ever release.
