Holy crap, did that dude at the end just cause 9494 points of damage?

I am a bit amazed at the negativity. It's extremely hard to get well done turn-based strategy titles these days, and Stardock is one of the companies that tries. WoM was a mess, now with 1.11 I really like playing it. It's still short what it could be, but Stardock realized that and are building FE based on this experience. It's a stand-alone game, not an expansion, and its free for all who bought WoM before a cut-off point. Sounds extremely fair to me and I am very much looking forward to it! Oh - if you look for a space 4X game, try GalCiv II - it really is the reference right now, imho.

Sins of a solar Empire 2 plx..drop this dead weight game.

By the time this game is in a truly good state, Sword of the Stars II will be out and it won't matter anymore. Now THAT'S a game I'm really looking forward to...

I hope this one is more refined than the original Elemental was - which I did not play at all in protest of its launch state.

They have a good idea somewhere there ...and heart is the right place.....but SD's execution was just horrible with WoM. I still think they can pull it off, but they are going to have to work hard to convince us with FE

Valen1n they are making up for there first failure..The guys like me who bought the game originaly..Its cool of them to admit failure an make it up to those people who support them like myself an a few others..No other game company has admitted a failure like them before..Where they offer not one expansion for free but 2..Ive become a great fan of stardock..Its cool they admited there mistakes and are making up for it..

Elemental: War of Magic for me is becoming a classic...its one of those games that you hate so much but love with a passion...just like your wife. Fallen Enchantress will be epic!!!

This looks great!!!!! A real tribute to Stardocks commentment to it's gamers. Free to those who bought the first Elemental ( plus the next expansion is also free to those same gamers). True, that the original was released too early for the new engine they developed to be truly tested. But they have been working and releasing patches since the release of Elemental and it's just getting better. It's good to see a company really stand behind their product, listen to its gamers who really play the game then add to it's employment ranks with "top" names just for making Elemental a success.

I wonder how many chances the gaming community is going to give Stardock to get it right. The release of Elemental was trash, the subsequent patches didn't get it near as far as they wanted. The game still isn't finished, and now a new Expansion.. which is of course there to allow them time for more development on essentially the *same game* while covering it with a new name. I wonder at what point developers finally learn they can't release Alpha products to the public and get away with it.

I was kinda disappointed by Elemental's first impressions but I definitely like the game after last patch. It was best for them if they could wait for some time and release finished game instead of that... underburned beta. O_o

Ya'll better not charge for this game after what you did to me when I bought Elemental. That game was broken an unfinished. Total garb.

I want another interstellar 4x strategy game. The last one I really got into was Master of Orion 2, and that was over ten years ago I think.

It is a huge statement to the moral/ethical standard of the company that they are releasing it Free to all customers who already bought Elemental and will also be deeply discounted when Fallen Enchantress is released. For those who don't know Fallen Enchantress is a stand alone expansion.

I really like Elemental, very very underrated. IMO its better then Civ5 (which I think is not bad either). Cannot wait for this new one!

Elemental was garbage....I play a round every time they update it and though the improvements are indeed there, your money is better spent else where. It would be better if you could build massive armies.

First: The wife and I loved Elemental: War of Magic. I think there is a huge hole in the game world for this developer/game. If you are saying you are going to make a bigger and better game... SWEET!!
