XBLA has become a welcome showcase for the independent games community, and Eets: Chowdown is the latest game to benefit from the mass market medium. Eets is essentially a puzzle game that plays similarly to Mario vs Donkey Kong or Lemmings, where you do not directly control the characters, but you influence the environment to solve the puzzles.

Eets features some wild and wacky visuals and characterisations that give it a unique appeal. The puzzles are a lot of fun and never get too frustrating, whilst there are also hints to aid you if you get stuck.

Eets also features a rhythm-game/shoot-em-up hybrid, which is entertaining and quite original. This, added to the 120 puzzles, make Eets a good value purchase at 800M$.
