Strickly a puzzle game.

Let me start this review off by saying that I have played this game less then an hour, so keep that in mind while reading this review. The sole reason that I am writing at all is that I noticed that there is no review for this game yet so here is my two cents if you are interested.

echochrome is a puzzle game pure and simple. I'll have to admit that the I was a little disappointed that there is no story or structure to the game as a whole at all. This is to say that for most games at the very least you start on level one and you move to level two etc. etc. until you've completed all of the levels and the game is over. echochrome is not like that. When you first start the game you are presented with the options to play a random level (or puzzle) or to select your puzzle from about 50 puzzles. You then complete these puzzles and get rated based on how long it took you to solve, and that is it...... There is nothing else to the game.

Now I don't want you to leave this review with the wrong impression. The puzzle solution process presented in echochrome is very clever. I will not discuss it here because not only would I not do a very good job, but I would just confuse you. If you want to know more you should watch one of the gameplay videos. They will explain much better than I could.

If you are interested in an interesting puzzle game then this one might be worth a shot, but if you are like me then you will want a little more to chew on then what this game can provide.
