A sleeper hit emerges from the depths...

Ecco is a weird game. If playing as a dolphin wasn't weird enough, the crazy plot which involves aliens makes it even crazier. It could probably be catergorized as a platformer, but Ecco is far too unique to be labeled a... Read Full Review

A well executed game with moderately high replay value. This was better than the sequel, but it didnt blow me away.

This game is above average and I dont think anyone questions that. However, This is not on par with Mario, Sonic, Aero, DK, this is not a top of the line chain. It may be fun but it has its bad moments as well. The graph... Read Full Review

A creepy adventure game that requires a little patience.

This was another one of the first games I played growing up, and I only remember that it was fun, but a bit weird at the same time. You are a dolphin, obviously, but your mission is to swim around the ocean and find all... Read Full Review

    Hard!

Graphics: 9 Very nice for a Sega Genesis title. It appropriately captures the look of the ocean with the water color and effects, the background, the rock and coral design of the level and the design of the various sea ... Read Full Review

Very challenging adventure game that still seems fun. This is remembered as a classic.

Gameplay: Here, you play as a Dolphin named Ecco. (pretty obvious considering the title) You swim through parts of the ocean to uncover the game's story. You often have to ask certain dolphins and other sea critters f... Read Full Review

Ecco may be old but its still a fun and sometimes frustrating challenge.

This game is still good and if you take the time to grasp the concept it really is an original game. The graphics by 16-bit standards are still decent altough not mind blowing. You get to see neat looking oceans,under... Read Full Review

Other Genesis fans may enjoy Ecco the Dolphin, but this Genesis fan doesn't.

Gameplay: 5/10 Graphics: 9/10 Sound: 10/10 Value: 6/10 Tilt: 6/10 Final Score: 5.8/10 (D) For those wondering why I don't give a lot of games a 6.0, here's one. I can't believe I liked this game at one point. Tru... Read Full Review

    Swim with the fishies

This is a really unique game for the Genesis, and also one of my favorites. You are Ecco, the dolphin (duh). You eat little fish for health, and also have to breathe air. You have two seperate meters for these things ... Read Full Review

One of a kind. My First genesis game ever.

Yep, this was my first genesis game ever, aside from Sonic the Hedgehog, which came with the system. I played this game for hours upon hours. And even though they were only genesis graphics, this game was beatiful. Th... Read Full Review

    A wonderfull idea exectuted perfectly.

The Idea of Ecco is for you to controll a dolphin named (as you probably guessed by now) Ecco through the deep blue to find his family. Gameplay: Swimming around may get a little tedious for some people but for peopl... Read Full Review
