EarthBound

Played this game about two years after it came out, it's the gold standard (or 10 scale) that I rate all other games by.

There's really not much I can say... they haven't really invented the words to describe earthbound. With its abundance of crazy hippies, its diverse towns and cities, and the greatest unique party of allies ever, this game takes the cake.... from ALL other games. I would recommend this game to anyone. Its spices of pop culture add subtle humor throughout the game for adults, and arcade boys on pogo sticks for the kids. This game by far was the breakthrough of the role playing game genre. Sadly once you have beaten earthbound and cried from the dramatic ending, there will be no greater game that you can play while still living. Seriously, it's the best.... ever.
