EA Sports MMA Strikeforce Trailer (Xbox 360)

I'm up for getting both UFC and this. I'm a huge UFC so i love the roster but EA don't let people down when they jump on a new franchise. Can't wait for it!!

The trailer looks nice but its only a trailer. Hopefully when the demo comes out it will play as smooth as it looks.

this looks a lot smoother than UFC and hopefully the styles actually factor into the fights, I just wish they had the UFC roster. I would love to beat the bajeesus out of Dave Hardy

Hopefully they have a great grappling/submission system. UFC '09's was horrid.

I think I'm getting both as of now. I really have to see the ground and grapple game first for MMA (EA). The improvements on UFC 2010 is alone enough to have me playing for months. People saying EA doesn't have a recognizable fighters in their game. If you said that then you're not a MMA fan. The only part about their roster is most of them are UFC rejects or their managers don't want them to be in the UFC due to their success outside the top league (UFC). EA's MMA needs to have the best features to win over the UFC heads out there. If not it's going to be a watered down version of a MMA game. I have to say the movements look great though but if the cage doesn't come into play like the first UFC 2009 I won't even bother to waste my time. I would be better off playing TEKKEN 6 with KING vs MARDUK on a closed in wall match..... :-/

you people do know that mma isnt just ufc right? they actually got the idea from other countries like japan... so ufc fan kids stop crying just because ea is making a better looking game then your precious ufc.. btw fedor would kill lesnar! hahaha

Damn, I think im going to leave Gamespot... Why are there so many fanboys on this god damn site? This and UFC look EXACTLY THE SAME. Stop taking sides before either game is out.. Of course, I'm referring to that disaster from THQ! EA MMA looks to be on a completely different level than UFC 2010 similar to that recent UFC match between Sanchez and Penn whereby Penn represents EA MMA and Sanchez was looking more like that crappy UFC game. EA MMA is like the Pride Fighting Championships of video games whereas UFC Undisputed is more like Pride FC's little annoying sister...

This game is going to be another disappointment from Yukes. At the final stages before it's release it still looks just as mechanical and artificial as the 2009 edition did. The striking game is still awkward and unrealistic and submissions are too easy to pull off, transitions are too frequent, and the AI still sucks. It's new features are southpaw stance, enhanced lighting engine, against-the-cage fight mechanics, increased roster, more fighting styles and moves, and same sh#@ty controls so it's still a game of pattern recognition. Geez, we expected those improvements from last years disaster... What about total punch control, accurate collision detection, the impact of stamina, real physics, zero clipping, smart AI, fighter entrances, intelligent commentary, glancing blows, dynamically emergent facial damage that makes sense?!? You know, the stuff you should have included in your first game?

ufc 2009 was a terrible game. the controls were AWFUL, the graphics and animations were mediocre at best (ill4life13 your description of this trailer fits the ufc games perfectly), movement was ridiculously slow and unrealistic, there were all of 6 songs in the game, and most importantly the game wasn't balanced at all. in the game it was pretty much whoever got on top won the fight 9 out of 10 times. i realize that in an actual fight the guy on top will most likely win, but in a video game you have to have balance. otherwise you'll wind up creating a cheap way for people to win, just like THQ did. and based on the 2010 demo (i understand it is only a demo, but a demo is supposed to represent what the final product will be like), it is basically the EXACT same game as before. everything from the graphics and crappy animations to the controls. hell even the commentary is no different. the only apparent difference is the create-a-fighter and the online tournaments, which honestly sounds like it would be cool. but i don't think that will make the game good overall. the only real thing that the ufc game has going for it is the fighters. arguably the ufc has the most top fighters in mma right now, and they certainly have the most popular. unfortunately, that is why THQ will have a lot of sales with ufc 2010. THQ's philosophy with ufc is the same as their crappy wrestling games: who's in the game is more important than quality.

Djin Just because they passed up the UFC and screwed themselves does not mean that their MMA game is gonna suck. Did you watch the trailer thats all gameplay there buddy, and it does look better than Undisputed 2010, but ill buy both anyways. All in all, just stfu

Couldn't be more unimpressed. Leave MMA to THQ/UFC. Who seriously cares about Strikeforce? EA had their shot, f...ed it up and now are trying to get a piece of the MMA pie THQ/UFC has so wellfully done.

Wow.... I'm a huge fan of UFC because it pretty much has 95% of the best fighters. But wow.... this game looks way better than UFC 2010. The movements and animations look flawless. It is like FN Rd4 graphics with MMA styles.

Finally someone to raise the standards, THQ has stablished the base line and now they're going to compete, improving MMA game's quality!!!

trust me. Both ea mma and Ufc 2010 are both to good to only get on or the other. and to my knowlegde ufc 2010 is coming out like 3 months before ea mma, so this gives you plenty of time to purchase them. if you cant buy both of these games you should get a job.... and if you already have one it doesnt hurt to apply for another one... jokes. however just get both you wont be dissapointed

Looks awesome, people should be exited for both games and not fight over which one is better. If you're are MMA fan - both games will offer plenty of fun.

Tough decision between the two, i love the controls of undisputed, i like how these guys aren't glossy like undisputed and move much better, but id really ave to play this before i decide to make the switch...cuz im too poor to buy both..

Now that I have watched videos of UFC2010 and EA MMA, its safe to say that the motion and movement in MMA is more realistic and fluid than in UFC 2010 It has a more quality feel to it. You can say many bad things about EA, but they know have to make sports games!

this game definitely has the upper hand when it comes to graphics and the look of realism in the fight. i cant really see 2010 outdoing this one

I gotta run with SithChampion on this one. A true fan of MMA should be excited about both games coming out. Not choosing sides about which game is gonna be better and how the other is gonna suck. Celebrate the fact there is now gonna be options on which game to play. Competition usually provides a better product from all sides Granted, EA is probably kickin themself in the ass for the way they treated the UFC but that's in the past. I for one am keepin an eye out on both of these and are excited at the potential they're showing.

and if its any consolation to the people that are saying ufc 2009 was terrible in the ufc 2010 wikipedia entry "In an interview with ESPN, Neven Dravinski (producer of UFC 2009/2010 Undisputed) said that they made so many serious upgrades to the game that he can not play UFC 2009 Undisputed because the gameplay is so poor compared to UFC Undisputed 2010"

this looks like it could be a good game but what its lacking is common recognized characters, im not a mega mma fan but i about 90% of the UFCs fighters names/faces, but i knew none of the guys in that video, the ability to beat the crap out of brock lesnar is why i already have ufc 2010 pre-ordered, and 20 bucks says thats how a lottt of other people will be too, not hating on the game just saying its probably gonna be over looked
