Super Mario 3D World announced for Wii U
Will be released on Wii U in December.
Nintendo has announced Super Mario 3D World as part of its latest Nintendo Direct.
The new Wii U game, being developed by the same studio that developed Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel for the Wii, will allow for four-player co-op in a 3D Mario world.
Mario, Toad, Luigi, and Princess Peach were shown, with Nintendo emphasising differences between the characters: Toad is slightly faster than everyone else, for instance.
A new power-up was also shown: Cat Mario, which allowed Mario to climb walls and scratch enemies.
Super Mario 3D World will be released for the Wii U in December, Nintendo says.
