A major disappointment in the line of Dynasty Warriors.
Story: The story to this game is the same as it is in all the others. Each character you pick has their own specific storyline, some are good and some are bad but overall an ok part of the game.
Characters: This game has all the characters from Dynasty Warriors 4 and there are no new additions to the game. Each character that you can pick has their own move set, story, army and so on. Some are great and cool looking and not irritating but there are quite a few annoying characters in this game as well and sometimes they make you want to kill them so much.
Music: Now this is the best part. The music like in all Dynasty Warrior games is amazing. If you are into rock or metal you will love it. Also the sound effects are pretty good and go sweetly with the battle. Sadly there is no voice acting.
Graphics: The graphics are decent. They look like early PS2 game graphics and looks downgraded from its PS2 predecessors. But this won't put you off the game as nothing is ugly or amazingly beautiful.
Game Play: Now for me this is where this game fell. You would think it would be the same but no it isn't. It's like a strategy game. You choose a character and you go into some board thing and there are many areas you can go into. Each area you clear you unlock a new one and get closer to them end. In each area you fight with your usual moves and characters and many opponents are around along with your allies as well. There are no items or power ups in the battles and most battles last up to 5-10 minutes long.
Overall: This game would have been so much better if they kept the long and huge battlefields like in the old games and kept items, power ups and added a few new things but the game play is just plain and not much fun. Though everything else is good or decent I give this game a 6.0.
