This game is actually better than I expected it.

I imported my PS Vita, and, going against norms by importing Uncharted, I picked this up instead. I warn you that I have no grasp of the Japanese language, but I figured, "Hey, don't really need to know Japanese to kill people."
Anyways, I have no clue what is going on in the story mode, but the gameplay is very solid. Never had more fun laying down playing a handheld! The touch "gimmicks" don't feel very gimmicky at all. It mixes up the flow just a little. Then you are right back to slaying the hordes. Worth picking up for the U.S. launch. You won't regret it.

Is the game very long? Can you choose what character you want to play as during the missions?

*sigh*
Game plays like any other Console version of a Numbered Dynasty Warrior (other than 6)
-The Weapon switch is removed but the switch attack is now use to chain cancel your combo.
- You still have the normal musou attack (unsure if they still have the second one) plus an attack using the vita's gimmicks
- Game Modes in this game is more similar to one in the Empires entries
- You can chose any character for a battle, provided that you unlocked them
- There is no visible Life bars, doesn't mean regenerating health
- Duels are back, but play out in an Infinity Blade style
- Create A Warrior
Game Is basically Dynasty Warriors 7 : Empires

Dynasty Warriors is a video game.
Not just ANY video game, but a SPORTS video game. Because unifying China is a sport.

Tbh, I was expecting another generic button masher. But, after seeing a video for it, it looks way better than the 3DS's launch Samurai Warriors game.

Do you NEED to use the touch pads to play this, or can you change them in an option menu or something. Also, is there a way to use the japanese voices with subtitles, the last few Warriors games had god awful American voices.

Can you play as your Edit Officer, and have your other Edit Officers fight alongside you in battle?
