Don't listen to the so-called critics out there, this game was a step in the right direction.
Voice acting is also improved, although with such a large cast, there's a few voice actors that leave a lot to be desired. A lot of the lines are lifted straight from the shows, so people who've seen them will get it, but most will be a tad puzzled.
The HUD is greatly improved, becoming more streamlined and easy-to-use. In addition, you can continue thruster boosting as long as you have energy to use, cutting down on the frustration of trying to get halfway across a field in short bursts. Combat is also smoother and feels easier to take down enemy units.
All in all, the game is a huge step up from the last game, and for Gundam fans a worthy title that will take hours and hours to beat. However, if you don't know your Zaku from your Rick Dom, you're probably better off skipping this one.
