Play Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires? Well this one is different...and better...kinda.
There have been a few changes to the Empire Mode (now you can be a vagrant, officer in an army or a ruler, and the item and action systems have been reworked a little) and the Free Mode has been removed all together. The Edit Mode has more options to chose from and you can have over seventy custom characters.
The tutorial explains all the changes that have occured regarding the Empire Mode, but it sin't too hard to pick up on your own anyway.
The only real problem with this game (the difficulty spikes occasionally, but that isn't a big enough problem to lose your mind about) is that there are ESCORT missions. Koei's added some new missions you can play, but has thrown in ESCORT missions! These aren't the "kind of tolerable escort missions" either, they're the "oh my god why is this escort mission so difficult it seemed so simple!" kind. At least you don't HAVE to complete the mission to progress in the story.
Speaking of, there aren't any real consequences for failing a mission (that I know of, there might be some but I just might not've experienced it yet). You just get sent back to the Empire menu and your leader says "Oh well, do better next time."
All in all this game is pretty fun. You should stop reading this and go buy it. Since it's a Japanese game if you live in the states it should only be fourty bucks instead of sixty.
