A New Dynasty is Unleashed!

It seems each year Koei puts out a new dynasty warriors game, if you seem to wonder why some times, it is because they are good at it. Each time a new Dynasty Warriors game is released in never ceases to amaze me how much better it is than the last one, the simply easy to learn hack and slash style is one of the most addicting things I have ever came across. However, everyone knows that no game is perfect so I should probably start off with the things this game could have used in my personal opinion. First off, I'll start with the language, sure we like to here our own language coming from the screen but it does get annoying at a point in time. They should allow us to throw in Japanese language with english subtitles to ease our pain at times of need. Another one of my favorite things from Dynasty Warriors 4 was the character creation, they should have kept that it, it was pretty fun creating your own character and then using him in the heat of battle. There is also a loss of health items in this game, they appear in few numbers and are harder to find, which isn't a complete bad thing because of the challenge it adds. That is it for the bad things I found in this game, now on to the good. Dynasty Warriors is based of actual Chinese history, battles that have taken place and generals that died in those battles, it is all in there. They brought back the weapon system from Dynasty Warriors 3 which was a lot more favorable than the level up system from Dynasty Warriors 4. They also added something new to the weapons, weight, the more it weighs the slower it attacks, the lighter it is the faster you can pull off deadly combos, and at no strength loss. They also added the aid of a certain vicious animal to the group, yes thats right you now get tigers to aid your character in battle. Sick of running short on characters to play in games, you shouldn't in this one, there is a total of forty-eight different characters to play with. The body guard system added into the game itself is nice, you have one body guard but now you can chain your musou with his and create a double musou. The graphics are nice to stare at and do not hurt the eyes, but everyone knows the best part about Dynasty Warriors games is... Kicking butt jamming out to heavy metal music, yes it's back just like before but it is better now. Well this ends it for me I hope this has been some help to you, see you next review. ~Taranova
