Instead of completing 11 stages to unlock Zhang He, on 'Battle of Guan Du - Wei Forces', burn down the supply depot Wu Chao. If Zhang He isn't defeated yet, he will defect and surrender to your side. At the end of the stage, he will be unlocked.

You must be in Musou mode. Defeat Meng Huo seven times throughout the stage. At least one defeat must be a duel. Also, duel and defeat Zhu Rong. Complete Musou mode and Meng Huo and Zhu Rong will be unlocked.

Unlock all 42 playable characters in the game, and Opening Edit will become available in the Options menu.

During a duel, stand against the border fence, and aim your arrow towards the outside of the duel area.
You will never get attacked in this condition.
Useful when you are about to lose a duel.

Guan Yu's Escape- Wei Forces
VICTORY: Carriage (with Liu Bei's wives in it) or Guan Yu are routed.
DEFEAT: Carriage and Guan Yu make it to Yellow River (Escape Point).

Requirements: Pass through the fifth gate and a supply unit will appear. The supply unit will head south, east, and then north. It will withdraw inside a gate. If it withdraws, you lose the item. If you route the Supply Captain, an Item Box glowing red should appear. Pick the item box up and you gain the item.

Startegy: Damage Carriage so that when you get the item, you can quickly destroy Carriage.

Side - Wu Side.
Character - Lu Xun.
Must be equipped with a horse saddle.
Immediately after you click on Stage Start, press and hold Up on the directional button. Don't press any other buttons, and just keep the Up pressed even after the battle starts, and Lu Xun will run into the water.

From the top right entrance of the castle, go toward map bottom left, there will be a walled area containing two houses. Take a careful look at the top right entrance of that walled area, you can enter the walls from there.

Character - a high jumper such as Zhang He.
Equip - Fly Boots.
At the top left area of the map is the fort with all the explosions. At the top right within that fort is a broken building with a different color as all the other broken buildings, this one is light brown. Try to jump up the broken walls of the broken building and you will land in mid-air.

Bug 1
Side - Yuan Shao Side.
Character - 1P Xu Huang, 2P Zhao Yun.
After the game starts, both characters will be Zhao Yun.

Bug 2
Side - Cao Cao Side.
Character - 1P Xiahou Dun, 2P Zhao Yun.
After the game starts, both characters will be Zhao Yun.

Side - Allied Troop Side.
Character - Liu Bei.
Must be equipped with a horse saddle.
Immediately after you click on Stage Start, press and hold Up on the directional button. Don't press any other buttons, and just keep the Up pressed even after the battle starts, and Liu Bei will run up the mountain.

Side - Nan Man Side.
Character - Yue Ying.
Must be equipped with a horse saddle.
Immediately after you click on Stage Start, press and hold L1 and Down on the directional button. Don't press any other buttons, and just keep the L1 and Down pressed even after the battle starts, and Yue Ying will walk up the mountain. From atop the mountain, you can enter water and get on top of castle walls.

In the Encyclopedia "officers" section both Ling Tong and Ling Cao have the exact same birthdate and death information, which is impossible because Ling Tong is Ling Cao's son.
